Love It
Pros: Runs extremely cool, but still performs great. Can be overclocked to much higher speeds on air alone. Supports VT-x. Excellent Performance:Price ratio. Doesn't feel gimped at all like older Celerons used to be.
Cons: 1MB of L2 cache may turn some people off, but it isn't really that huge of a hinderance. The Celeron name may also turn people off (even though it shouldn't in this case).
Overall Review: For a "Celeron" processor, this really feels and performs like a normal Core 2 Duo. You'll be hard pressed to find a difference between the two because there really isn't any.
Excellent OS
Pros: Been using it since public beta, and even then it was a great OS. It's well rounded, highly polished and performs great. Games don't run slower, many new and useful features over XP. The backup/restore software works great over a network. What's there to say that hasn't already be said praise-wise?
Cons: They really need to ditch this multiple edition stuff. Yes, it's only three (Home Premium, Professional and Ultimate) that consumers will ever be able to purchase, but there's no reason it couldn't be one version with all the features for the price of Home Premium. I blame the shareholders who want to milk as much profit as possible.
Overall Review: I've bought this as my gaming OS. XP annoys me too much to want to put up with it, and there was no point in getting Vista with this coming out now. As a Mac user that is severely annoyed by XP, 7 is a much welcome refreshment and creates a much more pleasant and Mac-like experience. 7 doesn't feel like I'm forcing myself to put up with it like XP does.
Nice Freebie
Pros: The reader is tiny, performs decently for a microSD card.
Cons: The reader is tiny, can see this as being very easy to lose. The cover while conveniently setup, doesn't prevent dirt, dust, etc from entering the USB connector.
Overall Review: Got this for free with a HD. No real complaints, but it's a bit too slow (~6MB writes) to be used as a flash drive replacement for large files.
Great Drive
Pros: Quiet, runs cool, high capacity for a good price and low power usage.
Cons: None.
Overall Review: Have this paired up with an older WD10EACS which only has 16MB cache. Both of them are in a Linux software RAID mirror for my backup NAS. Individually and together they both perform on the same level as a standard 7200 rpm drive. Can't go wrong with these drives.
Good Ram
Pros: Low price, performs fine and have had no issues.
Cons: None.
Overall Review: Who needs big name brand ram when the little guys are just as good?
Nice little motherboard
Pros: Can accept a wide range of processors, from old P4s to quad Core 2s. Price is great for the board's features. Makes a great backup board if things go wrong.
Cons: Wish it had a DVI-I output instead of VGA. While I'm sure it is mostly Linux's fault, I can't get it to display properly at 1080p onto a TV monitor. I won't mark down an egg though because this is either a software or user issue. Having a DVI port would just make it easier to get proper resolutions onto a TV for me.
Overall Review: I don't think it is fair that people are giving it very low reviews because of DOA boards. Anything you buy electronically can arrive dead. Blame the shipping company, blame damage during install. It's just dumb luck if you get a lemon. Overall this is a great motherboard. It's feature set and price make it a great entry board for a everyday computer, but it can even be beefed up to play the latest video games.
