Great performance

Corsair Force Series GS 2.5" 240GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) CSSD-F240GBGS-BK
Corsair Force Series GS 2.5" 240GB SATA III Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) CSSD-F240GBGS-BK

Pros: Very fast load times especially on games like SWTOR where I used to wait on load screens. System boots and ready to go in about 40 secs. Programs load instantly. Have had almost a year now.

Cons: Included mounting plate is dreadful for most system cases. I would highly suggest buying the enclosure made by ICYDOCK for a clean mount as I did.

Overall Review: These SSD drives are very touchy with anti virus software. DO NOT use any virus software that defrags or cleans your registry. I found this out the hard way while using Norton 360. My PC kept blue screening so bad I thought the drive was a lemon. Had to reformat the drive and reinstall the entire operating system and just basic scanning anti virus software. Haven't had a crash or a problem since.

Overall great board

GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-UD5H LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-UD5H LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard

Pros: Overall this has been a great board. For the price you will not find a board with more features. Supports everything I need it to. The feel of this board is very sturdy. Does not feel flimsy like others I've used in the past. Running solid other than below mentioned complaint for about a year now.

Cons: Came with two bad DIMM slots so I cannot run the RAM in dual channel mode. I've tested the RAM for errors (check voltages, etc.) and it runs fine in single channel mode so there is some quality issues. For that it loses two eggs.

Overall Review: Wasn't worth sending back. I needed the build up and running and even with two bad DIMM slots, I'm still soaring on 16 GB of RAM. By the time I need 32 GB of RAM, this will be obsolete.

Best Bang for the Buck

Intel Core i5-3570K - Core i5 3rd Gen Ivy Bridge Quad-Core 3.4GHz (3.8GHz Turbo) LGA 1155 77W Intel HD Graphics 4000 Desktop Processor - BX80637I53570K

Pros: Running smooth at 4.3 Ghz on a stock cooler and still runs adequately cool even on heavier loads. Super fast for the price. Upgraded from a Q9450. Blows it out of the water. Processing effects for photoshop is almost instant. Runs games like SWTOR with no complaints.

Cons: None

Overall Review: Only way I'd go for the i7 is you have programs that can utilize hyperthreading. Otherwise i5 is more than adequate and will save you money.

Much better than Vista

Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit
Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 64-bit

Pros: Going from 32 bit vista to 64 bit Win7 is like a dream come true. Much better allocation of system resources. Solid system performance. Very sturdy system with no crashes. Does not get stuck in sleep mode like Vista did.

Cons: None

Overall Review: I would still prefer this over the newer Windows 8.

Still going strong!

Pros: Bought this for a build in 2008 and it's still going strong after 5 years! Has the essential connectors to support even the newer video cards which require the additional power connectors. Has not failed through various power surges.

Cons: No complaints

Overall Review: Upgraded to a new a rig. i5 Ivy Bridge Core with 16 gigs of Ram oc'd at 4.3 Ghz...Geforce GTX 560 superclocked bideo card and it's still running it without any problems for about a year now.
