HyperX T1 Black Series 12GB (3 x 4GB) DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model KHX1600C9D3T1BK3/12GX

Pros: Works great with my ASUS Rampage III Gene motherboard. The XMP profile is easy to get to in the BIOS, and also the overclocking worked great. Posts a WEI of 7.8 when overclocked, 7.6 otherwise. Very fast.

Cons: One chip failed 3 months after installation. This caused windows 7 to crash randomly, and provide basically no help (ouch) - but a half hour of swapping chips one at a time nailed it down. Fortunately I bought two sets (six chips total).

Overall Review: I was past my 30 days with Newegg, so I had to go to the manufacturer for replacement. Absolutely no problem and completely painless. Boxed up three of the chips (they asked for a set) and mailed them back. Got replacements and lots of feedback emails within a week. Couldn't ask for better service; especially from such a huge company.

Huge bang for the buck in a small footprint

Pros: Great price, simple look and packaging. Very nice design inside for my moderate build. Fan placement is well thought out - and flexible. I replaced the top-rear fan with a radiator for my liquid cpu cooler - no problem. I moved the top fan to the second bay for clearance around my cpu cooler - again, no problem. I swapped the front fans with higher quality, non-led ones I had that also had the right power leads to connect directly to the motherboard - very straight forward, tool-less design. Plenty of slots and holes and tie-down points for routing cables and zip-ties. As good as much more expensive, higher-end, larger chassis I have worked with recently. The drive slot and screw/post design is beautiful. It took me a couple of minutes to figure it out (thanks newegg for the video), but it's very easy to use, gives total control over drive placement in relation to the fans and is sturdy. I like it.

Cons: The amount of space between the back panel and the motherboard tray is very limited - definitely have to do some zen-level zip-tie work to keep everything tucked in when you have it just right. A little good-natured cussing the first time might help, too.

Overall Review: Very complete: came with all screws, brackets, connectors, zip-ties, instructions: the works. For under $50 this is absolutely a screaming bargain. I will definitely buy more of these whenever I need to do small-footprint builds.

Great cooler for AMD 8120

CORSAIR Hydro Series H100 (CWCH100) Extreme Performance Liquid CPU Cooler
CORSAIR Hydro Series H100 (CWCH100) Extreme Performance Liquid CPU Cooler

Pros: Really works nicely. Well thought out, well constructed, and very sturdy. Took over for an older Cool-IT ECO unit, and dropped my CPU temps a full 10C, with the fan settings at only medium. Fan settings on high dropped another 5C off of this thing at load, but made my office sound like an aircraft carrier deck. Medium is definitely the sweet spot.

Cons: None. For this price and performance - if it works in your chassis, I just don't see anything else out there that can do this much. The printed instructions with this thing are just pictures, with no text at all. Save yourself some trouble by spending 10 minutes on Google first and read through what others have said about installation tips and tricks. Like remember to plug in the molex connector firmly (with zipties so it doesn't come loose when you put the chassis panels back on).

Overall Review: Remember that this requires a chassis with room for a 120x240mm radiator/fan setup - and enough clearance around it for the fans and the radiator bolted together. I'm using the Antec P280 chassis, which works gloriously with this thing; and also allows for one in-facing fan on the VCORE area of the motherboard, which otherwise doesn't get much cooling. Very nice setup: quiet, fast, stable.

Looks great so far

Pros: I'll write more later - but mostly I want to brag on Newegg getting my order here so fast. I clicked 'buy now' Sunday evening, and UPS showed up in my driveway Tuesday morning! The camera came totally complete and connected right up to my Windows 7 box. Takes great pictures so far, and is dramatically better than my previous point and shoot (which I paid twice as much for...) - got to love technology and Newegg for making it easy to get!

Cons: none at all so far - will write more once I have taken this thing fishing and camping next week at 10000' elevation!
