AMD Phenom 9850 Black Edition - Phenom X4 Quad-Core 2.5 GHz Socket AM2+ 125W Processor - HD985ZXAGHBOX

Pros: Very Fast, for very cheap!! This thing really flies - don't believe the Intel Hype "$1000 CPUs are for suckers!" and benchmarks are just that - benchmarks... I built a whole new system based on the AMD "spider" platform around this processor... here are my specs: AMD Phenom X4 9850 Black Edition (2.5 OC'd stable to 2.8 on air cooling) Asus M3A32-MVP Deluxe WiFi edition Motherboard 4GB Corsair Dominator DDR2 1066 RAM Sapphire Radeon HD 3870's (x2) Crossfired WD 75GB 10,000 RPM Hard Drive (boot/system drive) WD 500GB x2 data drives Cooler Master 1000W PSU (6 12V Rails!!) Cooler Master Cosmos 1000 Full Tower Samsung 2253BW 22" LCD (2ms) Windows Vista Ultimate x64 Flies on Vista x64

Cons: none yet

Overall Review: With I could get this thing over clocked to 3Ghz!! still tweaking with the awesome asus mobo

Sucks - Hence the Newegg Deactivation

OCZ Vertex 2 2.5" 80GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) OCZSSD2-2VTX80G
OCZ Vertex 2 2.5" 80GB SATA II MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) OCZSSD2-2VTX80G

Pros: Fast - assuming it works. Which it probably won't

Cons: Everything. This drive dies. Just check the reviews - I thought I had it made but apparently itdidn't want to live longer than a month and a half. I'm severely disappointed as this was my first OCZ product. I may or may not give them another chance. Or maybe stick ot the Intel or Corsair drives. Now I'm stuck with a dead and expensive product that I cannot use. Sweet.

Does What it Does

CyberPower AVR CP1500AVRT 1500 VA 900 Watts 8 Outlets UPS
CyberPower AVR CP1500AVRT 1500 VA 900 Watts 8 Outlets UPS

Pros: Hasn't blown out after years. Have had it for around four years now. In a few power outages it has come through and shutdown my machine safely and securely. The software is average and basically all you would need...

Cons: None really, won't last for hours after an outage?

Overall Review: Would purchase again if I ever have a need!

Perfect RAM!

G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin PC RAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL

Pros: Stable as hell! No problems ever. Ordered 4x4GB for a total of 16GB and I can't max it out. Use the machine for gaming, coding, image editing, etc... The RAM is also very fast and VERY cheap! Can't beat it. This is by far the best set of RAM I've ever owned - will always go with G.Skill from now on!

Cons: Not one.

Overall Review: System Specs: AMD Phenom II X6 1090T Processor OC'd to 3.5Ghz (didn't have a need to go higher) ASUS M4A79 Deluxe G.Skill 16 GB RAM Samsung 830 256GB SSD HD System Drive (blazing!) Cooler Master Real Power Pro1000 RS-A00-EMBA 1000 W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Pros: Had for almost a full year now and not a single problem. My rig runs 24/7 and it never gets hot or anything funkyi. Powers 3 HDD's, one HD 4870, 1 OC'd PhenomII 940 @ 1.5v, and 8Gigs (4 x 2GB) sticks of RAM without a problem.

Cons: Wish it was modular!

Satisfactory......

Pros: Fast, really fast. Can burn a lot of diff types of media. And fast. Did I mention fast?

Cons: Feels cheap. Wasn't recognized by my burner software for some reason - but was recognized by another software package...

Overall Review: Feels cheap because it was cheap and that's why I bought it - just warning others so they aren't expecting a Rolls Royce and get a Honda. But it's a fast honda. ;)
