Very Satisfied
Pros: *HS surface very well-lapped for consistent heat conductivity *Near-universal installation system *Fits perfectly into my Thermally Advantaged Chassis *Fan also circulates air over some other components
Cons: *Push-pin installation has some complications particular to this HS; to make the most of space, the push-pins are excessively crowded
Overall Review: The push-pin issue is only significant if you need to add/remove this with an existing system. I did, and had some trouble, but not too much. Taking it out will be harder. I chose not to face the overhang towards my RAM. I upgrade my RAM every so often and given the difficulty presented in removing this HS, it's better to avoid blocking my slots even partially. This HS keeps my e7500 (OC'd to 3.8GHz) averaging around 38°C on idle and 50°C on load. I could perhaps be even lower if I'd had the patience to find my Arctic Silver instead of using the provided material.
BSOD hell
Pros: Slays almost every game I've thrown at it, usually on Very High settings. Awesome low load temps, quiet fan.
Cons: BSOD after a few minutes in any game. The infamous nVidia "nv4_disp.dll" crash. This is the 1st time I've had it happen to me, so I'm hoping it's a fluke.
Overall Review: Great rebate, fast shipping, easy RMA. Newegg rocks.
1GB memory not overkill
Pros: Great speeds, memory capacity that will not let you down.
Cons: Fan noise, heat, overpriced.
Overall Review: Many have remarked that "there is no game that needs 1GB of video RAM". This is not so. Many current games support mods & texture upgrades, and these can take you well over the 512 or even 768 mark. My Oblivion setup frequently uses 800MB+.
