Pros: Decent value, good performance. Windows 10 already on it.
Cons: I ordered two of these. The mouse was broken for one of them. Hate to take an egg off for that, but it came in the package. It's certainly not worth sending the whole computer back for a defective, decidedly cheap mouse, but now I have to buy another.
Other Thoughts: Refurb, so it has minor nicks and dings.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: APEX MI-008 Black Steel Mini-ITX Tower Computer Case 250W Power Supply
Pros: Solid construction.
Cons: The design of this case is baffling to say the least. First of all, the stock heat sync and fan with my AMD A10 7860 did not fit under the power supply. A mistake on my part for not checking the measurements, but I think it should be safe to assume a stock cooler would fit. That being said, even if the heat sync/fan did fit, half of it would line up directly under the power supply's intake fan. Call me crazy, but why would I want the hot air from the processor flowing directly into the power supply?
Other Thoughts: I understand this is a mini ITX case and things will be cramped accordingly, but I think they could have gone with a mini ITX form factor power supply instead of SFX to save a bit of space.
I eventually decided to flip the power supply upside down, cut a hole in the top of the case for it's intake fan, and added a little weather stripping to make a good seal. I do not want heat from the processor adding additional heat to the already cheap power supply. There's room to add another fan on the side of the case, which I will add, to serve as exhaust. The case is small enough that this exhaust fan will also suck in cool air from the other side of the case.
Pros: It works.
Cons: What I thought I purchased was an affordable desktop with decent specs. What I got was a laptop stuck in a desktop case with no room to upgrade.
Other Thoughts: Next time, I'll just spend a little extra time and build a machine instead.READ FULL REVIEW
