Don't bother buying with Windows 8 or 8.1

TP-LINK TL-WN722N Wireless N150 High Gain USB Adapter, 150Mbps, w/4 dBi High Gain Detachable Antenna, IEEE 802.11b/g/n, WEP, WPA/WPA2

Pros: Somehow Windows 8 was able to install a driver for this device automatically when plugged in. Though it was problematic also.

Cons: This thing is garbage when it comes to WIndows 8 and 8.1. I have it set up correctly but the drivers that TP-Link lists on their website as Win 8 drivers barely function. Whenever I am doing anything that involves uploading, like skype video calling, the thing disconnects after 5 minutes and then reconnects itself to begin the vicious cycle. I started with windows 8.1 and had constant disconnecting problems when I would game or talk on skype, etc. So I downgraded to Windows 8 thinking it would work better because on their website they have "windows 8" drivers. Nope. Same problem. Every day. If you just want to browse the internet it works fine, but the minute any stress is put on the thing, it cuts off. I am tired of trying to get it to work. I have looked up and tried to fix the driver issues many times but everyone is having the same problem. From what I have heard it works well on Windows 7, but I do not want to downgrade a second time just to account for this incompetent wifi card. Its garbage.

Overall Review: Won't be buying TP-LINK again.
