Tons of Room, Decent Quality

Corsair Carbide Series 400R Graphite Grey and Black ATX Mid Tower Gaming Case
Corsair Carbide Series 400R Graphite Grey and Black ATX Mid Tower Gaming Case

Pros: LOTS of space. I installed a CM Hyper 212+ heatsink and still had extra room. Cable management is great with the pass-through, rubber-grommetted holes. I also like that the interior is painted matte black and the edges aren't sharp so you don't need to worry about personal injury or, more importantly, a frayed cable. Plenty of 3.5" bays for multiple HDDs and an SSD if you're so inclined.

Cons: The machineing on some of the screw holes could use some work. The side panel screws and screw holes don't mate up perfectly and it almost feels like you're cross-threading the screw when I know I wasn't. It might have been a case of paint overspray. Either way, makes it feel kind of cheap and not so professional. Also, the 3.5" cradles don't exactly accomodate 2.5" drives (like my SSD). The cradles have 4 metal pins that would normally lock into the screw holes of a 3.5" drive (and they do, my 3.5" HDD fits perfectly) but my 2.5" drive doesn't have a corresponding screw hole that aligns with the metal pin in the corner where the drive gets attached to the cradle. This forces that one pin to bend out and kind of makes the cradle misshapen and a little difficult to insert into the case. The drive is feather light so not a big issue but there should be a way to get around that more easily.

Overall Review: Check the length of your PSU cables, especially the 8-pin CPU power cable(s). I originally wanted to route my CPU Power through the bottom grommet and back in through the top grommet close to the 8-pin socket on my mobo but the cable just wasn't long enough and I ended up just having to go line-of-sight instead. Looks a little goofy if that kind of thing matters to you. I could probably find an extension of some sort but it doesn't really matter to me and I like to keep power cables as short as possible anyway.

Couldn't be Easier... with help from newegg

Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus - CPU Cooler with 4 Direct Contact Heatpipes
Cooler Master Hyper 212 Plus - CPU Cooler with 4 Direct Contact Heatpipes

Pros: Large surface area for heat dissipation, no need for special tools beyond the phillips-to-nut driver adapter that's included, includes brackets, screws, and snubbers for an additional fan (second fan not included)

Cons: The printed directions that come with the heatsink are poor. If not for the newegg video on installing this heatsink I wouldn't have felt as comfortable as I did installing.

Overall Review: As has been stated multiple times, this heatsink can present a challenge if you are using high-profile memory. Once you have the heatsink installed and have the fan attached to the heatsink, you should be able to install your DIMMs in any of the four slots without much trouble (I'm using the ASUS P8Z68-V PRO/GEN3 which could have accomodated high-profile RAM even with the fan installed on the front side of the mobo). Also, I don't know how the Cooler Master thermal paste compares to Arctic Silver 5. Arctic Silver is pretty much the benchmark that all others strive to be like. So far no problems at all but I haven't OC'd yet.

Bait & Switch but very polite

Placed an order for a new product (Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7") but was offered a display item instead and then had to wait a while to receive the product. When it arrived, it didn't look new at all so I returned it. The whole process took over a month. These practices are unacceptable in today's e-commerce world and Newegg should divorce themselves from the retailer/re-seller lest their name be tarnished as well.
