Wish i went for a 670 instead of 680
Pros: Price performance ratio, heat dissipation, blower type fan.
Cons: Still not free
Overall Review: I wish I had bought two 670 instead of two 680. 670 overclocks like a breeze, and two extra 100$ in my pockets for roughly the same performance.
Horrible mail in rebates
Pros: Great product. Read below.
Cons: Horrible service concerning the mail-in rebates. Never got my mail-in rebate, its been almost two months now. And I am very very disappointed because I have always vouched for Sapphire products and service. It might be only 20$ but it's 20$ that were supposed to come back by mail and never came my way.
Pros: Good price for RE4
Cons: Is it me or the point of buying a RE4 hard drive is a bit defeated if buying it refurbished ? The point of such a drive is higher quality, now you are buying a re manufactured unit that was once faulty.
Horrible temps, artifacts, hardly supported
Pros: Great bang for your buck ( advertised bang !) CPU + GPU on one chip, dual graphics. Flexibility, low power usage.
Cons: Where to start ?. This is my second A8 Llano Black, RMA'd the first one through newegg which cost me 25 dollars. Now at least the replacement unit went through windows installation. I see a lot of artifacts, every temp software tried either gives me around 11c temps or 80c temps, go figure. I tried re-seating the heatsink properly, in case, and now computer will post, will boot, but after a few minutes, graphics adapter error. Like when it was working, I could get in a small game ( like trine or Torchlight ) but it would crash to desktop after one minute.
Overall Review: Always been an AMD fan boy, bought 7970 and wasnt that impressed, especially for the price so I went to nvidia. Tried this for someone's second build ( budget ) and now I must tell him to wait for a second rma ?. Horrible heatsink, bad documentation, impossible to find temp software fully compatible. Will try contacting AMD. The thermal paste provided leaks and basically sucks. I am VERY disappointed from that company which provided me with my first hardcore gaming rigs. If I fail to get good service Ill RMA the whole thing, ditch 150$ extra, loose money on the sale, and just build an i3 with dedicated graphics. At least I know this will work.
Happy.
Pros: Very Fast, Less expensive than AMD's equivalent. 4 Screens on each card, no adapter s needed. Really good bang for my buck ,especially after owning a reference 7970 for a month... The SLI performance scaling is AWESOME, near 100%
Cons: Does not have a very easy to use GUI as AMD. I don't want to fanboy or anything but I really think AMD's catalyst is way better than the Nvidia control center so far. Controlling the eyefinity setup is easy, but has weird screen scaling. Also I was really sad when I learned that they only came with 2gb, with 3 screens I could really use the 3 gb. They get hot, like really.
Overall Review: i7 920 @ 3.8ghz 24gb G.Skill RAM 120 GB Crucial M4 SSD Crossfire Asus 680 GTX
Packet injection
Pros: Packet injection, small
Cons: Runs hot if worked too much
Overall Review: Does its job just fine, cheap at newegg, but found cheaper. All thoses cheap electronic stores like electrotel and jaymarts around the world sell this for 14-15$.
