Pros: Very fast and reliable so far, cool running (39C with Arctic Silver 5 and stock HSF), very easy to install coming from the socket "A" world. Very high value. System POSTed perfectly the very first time. Mobo is a Gigabyte GA-MA74GM-S2H and is also a five egg unit.

Cons: None really; I got exactly what I bought. I guess the only real "con" is CPUz reports the memory runs at an effective 756MHz and not 800MHz. That's a result of having and odd multiplier so the fault is mine; not the chip's. But for my purposes, it really doesn't matter.

Overall Review: Although not the fastest processor AMD offers, for my multimedia and office type work it's actually overpowered. Most of my computer work is home office/student oriented and for that this the processor is way too powerful. With Office 2003 and 2007 as the test bed, it's only marginally faster than my other AMD Athlon 3000+ and 3200+ XP computers. Processing times For DVD encoding and .avi conversion to DVD movies has been cut by 40-50%. That is nice, but that's maybe 5% of what I do on a computer. For me the real delight of this processor, other than high value, is multitasking. For those of you needing multitasking power at a very good price, this CPU is outstanding.

Comments: I've had two of these; the first quit working in stages with LAN connections dieing one by one over a two week period after about one year. Finally it just died completely. Both it and its replacement (same model) drop the connection for no apparent reason about once per month. Sadly, this appears to be one of the better routers judging from all the comments. A buddy of mine had a similar experience with his two. Newegg is great, but UPS is not up to their standards. UPS must be cheaper.

Pros: Very low price. Interior as clean as a new computer. Great performance. Near Perfect physical condition. Worked from first boot and that continues as I use it daily. Very quiet; heat output is hardly noticeable.

Cons: These are not really cons, but things to think about: Internal video is Analog only; there is no discrete video card and no digital output. The unit arrived with the BIOS password protected and no PW given. Admin PW was erased by pulling and replacing the PW jumper on the motherboard. It's a bit unstable set on the floor as a tower might be. Rubber feet indicate it's a true desktop unit.

Overall Review: Firstly, packaging was superior; the computer was completely wrapped in and packed with a whole lot of bubble wrap inside a heavy duty cardboard box. The unit itself is cosmetically perfect as far as I can tell. It arrived configured exactly as described with a 500GB WD Blue HDD. I added an additional 2.5" WD Black HDD as it added a max of 1.8 watts so there was no fear of overloading the 250 watt power supply. This machine runs Windows 10 home x64 1909 like it was made for it. We also have an older (original owner) Dell XPS 8900 and it is not noticeably faster in home business and student applications than this Optiplex. It is NOT a high end gaming machine and would likely be a mistake to try and make it one. I could not be happier; I'll buy another if my daughter thinks she could use an excellent Windows 10 desktop.

Pros: None. What was received was not what was ordered. Read into that whatever you wish.

Cons: Ordered HDMI cable; received Composite cable. Order clearly is for an HDMI cable

Overall Review: Normally Newegg is top shelf. I'd never have expected them to get two cable types mixed up. They are after all, a supplier of computer, AV and electronic related parts and accessories.

Pros: Very fast for a hard drive, essentially silent and sleeps as expected. I don't know what else to say other than the price was great and no additional shipping cost is always a good thing. It is what it's claimed to be.

Cons: None so far, but it's been in use less than one week. My experience with WD has been very good. In the last dozen years I've had one HDD fail; my expectation for this drive is good long term service.

Overall Review: This drive is installed as a secondary data drive in my wife's new Dell XPS 8900 and so far it has performed well. Buying a hard drive (or any component for that matter) is always a gamble, but you do the best you can and choose what seems to be a good product. Many reviewers rated this drive very highly and that's mainly why I chose it.

Pros: Looked good on newegg's website

Cons: As with another recent order, this item has apparently just disappeared. Ordered 11/9/15 and no word. Credit card has been charged but just nothing.

Overall Review: You might want to re-institute your "Contact Us" link guys, then things like this could be private. I got two iPad screen covers direct from China in record time, yet Newegg can't seem to get domestic orders shipped/mailed in the times they promise. Dispense with the corporate rhetorical begging letter guys and just get me the order.
