good for the price
Pros: I can play Farcry 2 full screen with highest settings (I haven't tried any newer games yet). Audio thru the HDMI worked instantly. Fit great in my HTPC and added very little noise. Great deal for less than $50 (including discount and rebate).
Cons: The card uses HDMI-mini output, which is not the same as what my smartphone uses, so I had to buy yet another HDMI cable. The HDMI-mini output is too close to the edge of the slot. I had to "bend" the card a little, otherwise I couldn't fully insert the plug.
Overall Review: I had the video card up and running for a few minutes then all of a sudden the picture went out. It turns out that I simply needed to push the HDMI-mini plug in further, but in order to do that I had to re-seat the card and "bend" it to the side before I tightened the slot screw.
Mine died
Pros: Worked right out of the box. Looks and feels like quality. Got it fo $115.
Cons: It died in less than a month.
Overall Review: I'm not sure if I just got a bad one, but I can't give it a good review if doesn't work at all. I'm waiting to hear back from WD support. They'll probably replace it, but now I've lost all my data.
Worked...for 2 days
Pros: Decent performance for the price, S-Video out, moderate power consumption and size.
Cons: Artifacts and wavy lines appear across the displays (even during BIOS splash screen before drivers are loaded). S-Video out never seemed to fully work. Nvidia Control Panel locks up when detecting TV.
Overall Review: I contacted EVGA support. They thought it was either my PSU, PCI-e slot, or the video card itself. I swapped out the video card with a friend's 8800 GT (which is more power hungry than the 9500) and it worked just fine (including the s-video out). I would have exchanged it, as I'm sure I just got a lemon, but then the rebate submission period would have expired before I got the replacement. it's actually cheaper to just pay the re-stocking fee and re-purchase the item than to void the rebate.
