Most Critical Review

May be Roxio Toast, but...

Verbatim DVD+R DL 8.5GB 8X with Branded Surface - 20pk Spindle
Verbatim DVD+R DL 8.5GB 8X with Branded Surface - 20pk Spindle

Pros: Haven't found any so far.

Cons: I've burned 4-5 discs, all but 1 stuck at the writing lead out phase in roxio toast and ended up becoming toasters. The other one was almost okay...almost. It was a movie backup, but it would get stuck at at least one point as it played, so it officially became a toaster.

Almost great

Logitech Wireless Gaming Headset G930 with 7.1 Surround Sound, Wireless Headphones with Microphone
Logitech Wireless Gaming Headset G930 with 7.1 Surround Sound, Wireless Headphones with Microphone

Pros: Awesome sound, good directionality in 5.1 and 7.1 games. The headset is fairly comfortable, although I've worn more comfortable headsets, and does a great job of blocking out ambient noise. The volume control on the side of the headset is super useful, and the G buttons are useful.

Cons: The bass can really suck. There are a few events, typically explosions, in the games I play that this headset just butchers. It sounds horrible on that particular spots; e.g. in L4D2, No Mercy, when there is the big explosion prior to getting on the lift.

Overall Review: Not perfect, but there is no other headset that I know of that I'd rather have in this price range.

Awesome keyboard

Das Keyboard DASK3PROMS1 (855800001166) Black 104 Normal Keys USB Wired Standard Model S Professional Keyboard
Das Keyboard DASK3PROMS1 (855800001166) Black 104 Normal Keys USB Wired Standard Model S Professional Keyboard

Pros: What can I say, it's a nice keyboard :-) It feels great and it's really precise. I'm a fairly fast typist (often between 100 and 110 wpm) and I always noticed key strokes being missed with other keyboards. With the roll over and the nice tactile feedback, I don't have that problem. It's also really good for gaming. The responsiveness and tactile feel give me a bit more confidence in my actions.

Cons: It's expensive.

Overall Review: For some reason, Newegg sells this produce for about FORTY dollars more than you can find it on other sites o_0 Newegg is usually good, but I had to go elsewhere for this.

Awesome

Ergotron 45-214-026 MX Desk Mount LCD Arm
Ergotron 45-214-026 MX Desk Mount LCD Arm

Pros: Strong, easy to install, adjustable.

Cons: 30" monitor definitely not appropriately supported, in my opinion. I've got a 28" monitory, and I can BARELY turn it into portrait mode. Any bigger and it just wouldn't be happening.

Overall Review: Can't complain. It's sturdy as heck, it moves nicely. I'm very happy with my purchase.

Hanns·G HG-281DPB Black 28" 3ms Widescreen LCD HDMI Monitor 500 cd/m2 800:1 Built-in Speakers

Pros: Its huge, the color is very vibrant, and the response time is good. I can't ask for more!

Cons: I'm having problems with the sound. I hear the sound momentarily when Windows starts and then it cuts out and won't start coming out again until the next restart.

Overall Review: It's a great buy, IMHO. Obligatory rig info: E8400 @ 4.0GHz, 4GB DDR2 @ 1066 (5-5-5-15), Seagate Baracuda (32MB cache), DFI LanParty DK T2/RS, GTX 280
