Most Critical Review

Fine product, dissappointing service.

PowerColor Radeon R9 270 2GB GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 CrossFireX Support ATX Video Card AXR9 270 2GBD5-DHEV2

Pros: Good price, performance seems fine, haven't heard any whine

Cons: Customer service has questionable English skills, response times are delayed, and my rebate was disqualified (without notification) for a trivial error.

Overall Review: I'm perfectly happy for what this card was: a budget graphics card I could replace in a year or so. Unfortunately, my satisfaction has been largely erased by a disgust with their poor customer service. I understand this is a foreign company, but it seems strange that customer service speaks such questionable English. Not really a problem, I could figure out the meaning in their emails, just something to note. The real problem is that it takes about 3-5 days PER EMAIL to hear back. They're very courteous, but still, that means a 10-email conversation might last a month! The biggest problem, though, is their scam of a rebate program. I know people always say rebates are lost money, but I bought 6 components at the same time and got 3 credit cards and 2 checks before my PowerColor rebate was even in the system. That "system", by the way, is a single line of text on some remote corner of the website. "Rebate submitted". No way to check the status, no way to see what's taking so long other than to send an email and wait a week. So what's the verdict? Due to their own poorly formatted website, this product was displayed next to a different rebate number. Welp, no opportunity to fix the incorrect digits since, like I said, it's been ages since the rebate deadline ended. Fine product for the cost, but DO NOT think you're getting a deal with any rebates. Purchase it for the cost displayed, or, if you want to avoid headaches, spend an extra $20 and get one of the good brands.
