Great 5950x & Asus Crosshair VIII Dark Hero

G.SKILL Trident Z Neo Series 64GB (2 x 32GB) DDR4 3800 (PC4 30400) Desktop Memory Model F4-3800C18D-64GTZN
G.SKILL Trident Z Neo Series 64GB (2 x 32GB) DDR4 3800 (PC4 30400) Desktop Memory Model F4-3800C18D-64GTZN

Pros: On DOCP mode it worked right away at the rated speed 3800 MHz and 1900 Fclk at the right timings. Time Spy CPU score of 14491 and so far has been rock solid. I originally had G.SKILL Trident Z Royal Series 64GB F4-3600C18D-64GTRS that only worked at 3200 Mhz (3600 and 3400 was a no go) with a time Time Spy CPU score of 12716.

Cons: Expensive, but you get what you pay for. Highly recommend this memory for Zen 3 CPUs. It works at the rated memory speed!

Overall Review: Maybe next time I will wait a couple of months after release, before buying hardware for the new CPU. I dont guess very good with F4-3600C18D-64GTRS memory. The only other suggestion is to manually set your Fclk to half your memory speed or your NB frequency will be half of Fclk speed even though your Dram Frequency is correct. This will cause your CPU time Spy Cpu score to be lower.

Fast hard drive

Seagate BarraCuda 7200.11 ST3500320AS 500GB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive
Seagate BarraCuda 7200.11 ST3500320AS 500GB 7200 RPM 32MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: My system specs are Phenom 9600 processor, gigabyte ga-ma790fx-ds5 am2+, 4 gb memory, Vista 64 premium . The hard drive is excellent hard drive, fast and quiet hard drives.

Cons: It wasn’t compatible on the AMD SB600 sata controllers and vista 64, not Seagate problem. The system was unstable with the Seagate hard drive (system would crash, if you did a simple file copy it would vary greatly from day to day, as much as 7 times different in speed.). I gave the Seagate hard drive to a friend and the drive is working prefect for him. I ended up order a Samsung Spinpoint f1 hd753 750gb hard drive and that has been working prefect for me.

7950X3D excellent Great gaming processor!

AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D - Ryzen 9 7000 Series Zen 4 16-Core 4.2 GHz - Socket AM5 120W - AMD Radeon Graphics Desktop Processor - 100-100000908WOF

Pros: Unbeatable low power consummation while gaming and Rendering applications. The system is very snappy to open applications although I had to change CMOS settings and some Windows settings. Games run Blazing fast no stutter or lag.

Cons: Temps in Cyberpunk 2077 CPU runs at about 63 Celsius, and Cinebench R23 peaks at 87 Celsius. I did not do this but I saw a video where someone did a direct die water block on a Ryzen 7000 CPU and got dropped 26 Celsius lower on the CPU. Had to turn CPU Virtualization off in CMOS to get a good CPU Time Spy Score in 3dmarks. Video on the Internet that some motherboards give too much voltage to the CPU, so make sure you update your bios to the newest version. This was rare but after waking my computer from sleep mode my system would reboot, after updating to the latest bios even though in beta that never happened and I got a higher CPU time spy score in 3dmark. I have an MSI x670e carbon WIFI motherboard, from reviews on the internet MSI motherboards had the lowest voltage to Ryzen 9 7000X3D chips.

Overall Review: System specs 7950X3D, G.SKILL Trident Z5 Neo RGB Series 64GB (2 x 32GB) 288-Pin PC RAM DDR5 6000 Model F5-6000J3040G32GX2-TZ5NR AMD Expo, MSI mpg x670E Carbon Wifi motherboard, RTX 4090 video card, EK-Quantum Velocity² D-RGB - AM5 Nickel + Plexi this only has Nickel backplate maybe I should found one with cooper instead. Touching my CPU water block it has always stayed cool to the touch.

Inexpensive but has high performance.

SanDisk SSD PLUS 2.5" 2TB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) SDSSDA-2T00-G26

Pros: You can normally get a Sandisk SSD at bargain prices but has the performance of the more expensive brands. Specs it list with the drive is what you get or you get real close to it, and I havent had one of these drives fall on me yet.

Overall Review: If you want a reliable cheap drive then get Scandisk SSD drives

Looks great inside the Computer case. 5950x & Asus Crosshair VIII Dark Hero

G.SKILL Trident Z Royal Series 64GB (2 x 32GB) DDR4 3600 (PC4 28800) Desktop Memory Model F4-3600C18D-64GTRS

Pros: Couldnt get this memory to work above 3200 MHZ. Tried 3400 and 3600 MHZ but my system would just reboot and it would set the memory to default. Time Spy CPU score of 12716. I would recommend G.SKILL Trident Z Neo F4-3800C18D-64GTZN memory instead this worked at the rated speed also got a Time Spy CPU score of 14491 and so far has been rock solid.

This has PWM control, this fan is by far the second quietest, number one is PRO-USV14

Prolimatech PRO-USV12-BK Ultra Sleek Vortex Case Fan (BLack)
Prolimatech PRO-USV12-BK Ultra Sleek Vortex Case Fan (BLack)

Pros: This has PWM control, this fan is by far the second quietest, number one is PRO-USV14, that is because at 20% pwm 14mm runs at 385 rpm and 12mm runs at 445 rpm. I have tried Enermax, Thermaltake, Bitfenix, Silenx and others. Most fans have coil whine at low rpm, this fan has almost none. It moves a lot of air for how quiet it is. Between 20% to 80% rpm 12mm fans run 445 rpm to 1464 and 14mm fan runs at 385 to 1143. If you have Asus software run you can lower it below the 20% rpm, at about 15% pwm control this fans runs at 256 rpm, mine is set through my motherboard because Asus software won’t properly control my Pwm pump. When people listen to my computer they literally can’t hear any noise from it!

Cons: The biggest down fall to this fan, I have a IN WIN 703 case and I had to modified the fan to fit the 120mm rear cool fan part of the case. Back of case bend slightly inward case the fan not to fit, regular 120mm fans no problem, any 15mm fans would have the same problem.

Overall Review: System specs In Win 703 with a EK-D5-PWM-G2/Primochill Reservoir mounted inside the case, Asus x99-E motherboard, I7-6900k CPU, Corsair Rm850x power supply,1070 SEA HAWK EK Custom Waterblock, a 420(3*140mm) low profile liquid cooling radiator,1* PRO-USV12 and 3* PRO-USV14 FANS.
