Prolimatech PRO-USV12-BK 120mm Ultra Sleek Vortex Case Fan (BLack)

5 out of 5 eggs This has PWM control, this fan is by far the second quietest, number one is PRO-USV14 08/29/2016

This review is from: Prolimatech PRO-USV12-BK 120mm Ultra Sleek Vortex Case Fan (BLack)

Pros: This has PWM control, this fan is by far the second quietest, number one is PRO-USV14, that is because at 20% pwm 14mm runs at 385 rpm and 12mm runs at 445 rpm. I have tried Enermax, Thermaltake, Bitfenix, Silenx and others. Most fans have coil whine at low rpm, this fan has almost none. It moves a lot of air for how quiet it is. Between 20% to 80% rpm 12mm fans run 445 rpm to 1464 and 14mm fan runs at 385 to 1143. If you have Asus software run you can lower it below the 20% rpm, at about 15% pwm control this fans runs at 256 rpm, mine is set through my motherboard because Asus software won’t properly control my Pwm pump. When people listen to my computer they literally can’t hear any noise from it!

Cons: The biggest down fall to this fan, I have a IN WIN 703 case and I had to modified the fan to fit the 120mm rear cool fan part of the case. Back of case bend slightly inward case the fan not to fit, regular 120mm fans no problem, any 15mm fans would have the same problem.

Other Thoughts: System specs In Win 703 with a EK-D5-PWM-G2/Primochill Reservoir mounted inside the case, Asus x99-E motherboard, I7-6900k CPU, Corsair Rm850x power supply,1070 SEA HAWK EK Custom Waterblock, a 420(3*140mm) low profile liquid cooling radiator,1* PRO-USV12 and 3* PRO-USV14 FANS.

ENERMAX T.B. Silence UCTB12P 120mm PWM Function Case Fan

2 out of 5 eggs This has PWM control, and quieter than most fans, sturdy Construction. 08/13/2016

This review is from: ENERMAX T.B. Silence UCTB12P 120mm PWM Function Case Fan

Pros: This has PWM control, and quieter than most fans, sturdy Construction.

Cons: Yeah, I was disappointed; this was definitely louder than I thought it was going to be. At 20% PWM control in the motherboard it runs at 710 rpm,( I have Asus x99-E motherboard) my three 140 mm/15 mm thick fans at 20% PWM runs at 390 rpm. Enermax T.B. Silence 120mm was easiest the loudest thing in my system, I ended up disconnected the fan from my mother board. Most people would think these are really quiet fans and they are, I am a silence freak! That is where my disappointment comes from.

Other Thoughts: System specs In Win 703 with a EK-D5-PWM-G2/Primochill Reservori mounted inside the case, Asus x99-E motherboard, I7-6900k CPU, Corsair Rm850x power supply,1070 SEA HAWK EK Custom Waterblock, a 420(3*140mm) low profile liquid cooling radiator, 1* Enermax T.B. 120mm fan, and 3* PRO-USV14 FANS.

5 out of 5 eggs This has PWM control, this fan is by far the quietest fans out there! 08/13/2016

This review is from: Prolimatech PRO-USV14 140mm Ultra Sleek Vortex Fan

Pros: This has PWM control, this fan is by far the quietest fan out there! I have tried Enermax, Thermaltake, Bitfenix, Silenx and others. Most fans have coil whine at low rpm, this fan has almost none. It moves a lot of air for how quiet it is. These fans can get bogged down If attach to liquid cooling radiator, mine is attached on top my case, but not inside my case, so no problem for me. My Fans run anywhere between 390 rpm to 910 rpm. When people listen to my computer they literally can’t hear any noise from it!

Cons: The biggest down fall to this fan, the screw mounts are in the location where 12mm fans would be. This is a true 14mm fan, so in most cases this would not fit where a 12mm fan would fit, unless you have a case where you can put in ether a 12mm fan or 14 mm fan in. I super glued my fans to my 420(3*140mm) low profile liquid cooling radiator.

Other Thoughts: System specs In Win 703 with a EK-D5-PWM-G2/Primochill Reservori mounted inside the case, Asus x99-E motherboard, I7-6900k CPU, Corsair Rm850x power supply,1070 SEA HAWK EK Custom Waterblock, a 420(3*140mm) low profile liquid cooling radiator, and 3* PRO-USV14 FANS.
