Acer K272HULbmiidp Black 27" WQHD 6ms (GTG) HDMI Widescreen LED Backlight LCD Monitor IPS DCR 100,000,000:1(1,000:1) Built-in Speakers

Pros: -Excellent Size to Pixel Density (any smaller and it'd be hard to read) -Excellent color reproduction -Excellent contrast -Excellent brightness -Multiple choices for connectivity -Fairly light, good for mounting I have to say I love these monitors. Price / Cost is pretty astounding for the panels that you're getting. I couldn't find anything close to the price from a brand that seemed like that would have decent tech support until my brother sent me a link to this one. I've purchased three of them now and all of them work perfectly. I'm really enjoying these panels. I talked to some of the digital artists where I work and they really love the color depth and accurate reproduction. These monitors are fantastic for my work. I also game on the one I have at home and I don't see any noticeable ghosting or lag. Did I mention I love the color depth and reproduction?

Cons: -The Plastic Base Now here's the deal, the base isn't all that bad. It works, it's simple, and it tilts a little bit. It's a bit tough to snap in properly, but it does hold alright. The thing I didn't like is the bottom has a plastic "edge" which catches on things. It's very strange, it makes "sliding" the monitor extremely noisy and annoying on certain surfaces. I'm sure it holds it in place better though. I's really just an oddity to me. I put much thought into it though.

Overall Review: If you want an excellent, inexpensive, WQHD monitor. This is it. Here's some bonus notes: SPEAKER: I never tried it. I feel like if it makes sound at all, that's about all you should really expect from a speaker on a monitor. I'm not really sure why they put speakers in the monitor. I don't even know where they emit from because there is no front facing speaker or port to reflect the sound forward. IPS GLOW: At the distance I sit, I don't notice it. It seems to be viewing angle dependent. Also, your screen has to be mostly dark (maybe a movie with black bars?) and at a high brightness to even kind of see it. If you have ambient light in the room it won't really be noticeable. I only noticed if I made the entire screen black and turned my lights off. I'm not sure it's as much edge glow as it is a little bit of viewing angles showing up slightly off because If I move my head to that corner, the corner doesn't "glow". The places you may notice the "IPS Glow" issue is if you're an artist / photographer and 100% of the screen needs to be perfect. Then again, why are you buying a "bargain" priced monitor for that? If your monitor matters that much, get the equipment to match!
