Pros: Nice sound, good mic

Cons: Cheap cord, headband could use some sort of adjuster rather than flex fit.

Overall Review: First, the headband: While is feels comfortable on my head, the angle it sits at is bad, as it sits lower than it should. This is due to the fact the inner band has no locking position. It just fits as it sits, so the hard plastic will always be in contact with your head. While this is comfortable on the head, it produces strain on the upper ear cartilage as the cup is not around your ear, but on top of it. Second, the cord: I must agree with Harley G. At around 5am on the 31st day after ordering this headset, one side loses sound when the cord moves. I've also taken great care of this set as it is overly expensive, but that proved to be futile. Wiggling the cord, I can get the cup to come back, but any sort of movement after the fact will cause it to go out, or to come in and out. Completely unacceptable for a $100 headset. If you buy this headset, I would highly recommend maybe applying some heat-shrink to the cord about 1" down from where it connects into the cup to maybe prevent this issue (though it may just cause it to happen below the heat-shrink). Currently have an open ticket with Asus support to hopefully have this issue taken care of. 1 egg for 31 day failure, otherwise it's a great headset.

Pros: Worked well while it lasted.

Cons: Had a few issues with drivers for the board. Boot up error messages for installing a few of the "extra" drivers that were available. After 3 years of hard use, I lost video output through my graphics card. I figured the card had given up, so I swapped to the on-board video. That lasted about a day before that output was defunct. While that was up, I looked to see if my video card was even detected, and it wasn't. Swapped the card to the second PCI Express slot, and viola! I have video output again. Always booted and posted, just had no video. My only assumption is that the board is rage quitting on itself, since everything else is working flawlessly.

Overall Review: I'd love to get an exact replacement board, but they are discontinued. I plan to build a better box in the future and hand this one to a friend, but with a bad board, it would be better as a door stop. Unfortunately, the only place that has this board in stock wants $240...almost DOUBLE the cost that this board originally was.
