Seasonic SS-760XP2 ATX 12V/EPS 12V, 760W, 80 PLUS PLATINUM Full Modular certified Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready
Seasonic SS-760XP2 ATX 12V/EPS 12V, 760W, 80 PLUS PLATINUM Full Modular certified Active PFC Power Supply New 4th Gen CPU Certified Haswell Ready

Pros: This was a good price at the time. I read that this thing tends to run cooler than other PSU's w/ good voltage regulation, which are the primary reasons I bought this over a $10-20 cheaper seasonic. so far so good MB cables are bundled and wrapped in mesh, all other cables are flat black More than enough PCI-E 6+2 cables than I would ever need...could theoretically power 4 GPU's! (my case only fits 2) they give you a shorter sata power and a longer sata power which is appreciated in a SFF build Packaging is excellent, fresh PSU smell and all has an extra switch to make the fan come on only selectively (ie when it's hot), stays off when it's cool, makes for quiet home

Cons: socket plug is oriented opposite of some other manufacturers, made plugging it in inside the case w/ a plug extender tricky, but hey can't have everything

great case

Pros: Excellent case, it's bigger than I thought, but once you start working on it, it's actually perfect size for someone like me looking for good airflow and smaller size. I am going w/ a Noctua NH-D14 cooler w/ Sapphire Radeon R9 290. I have a Silverstone 180mm fan at the bottom taking air in w/ a custom filter made from the bottom vent cover that is included. I also have a 140mm noctua fan blowing out the back, 2x120mm noctua fans blowing in from the top onto the Radeon's fan cooler. I've actually cut out the frame of the top vent mesh to be able to fit the fans outside of the case within the top plastic panel. I am working on cutting a hole in the side panel to place 2 more 120mm fans as ventilation. So far everything is in except the video card and the side panel fans and it's putting out about 36C temps at the CPU at idle, not any indication of anything, I haven't done any stress testing yet. cable management was excellent, there is a cubbie hole to the right of the PSU for hiding cables, there is some work involved but not rocket science here. very sturdy design and build, I love the green vents in the top and front panels, the top vent should be green too...

Cons: the rear PCI slot mechanism doesn't really work all that well, I wish it fits tighter or had room to screw down the PCI inserts for fan controllers and such, which I have in there. The fan controller wiggles if you mess with it and it can definitely pop out if you wiggle it enough w/ the slot fastener tightened down. I like the side embossed graphics, but will make cutting holes a bit more difficult there should be SSD mounts on the back of the motherboard tray, and the front under the front plastic cover the power cable extension that attaches to the PSU inside fits better w/ PSU plug sockets w/ certain orientation, unfortunately my seasonic is the opposite orientation so installation was a little tricky
