GREAT INOVATIVE SOFTWARE

Pros: RockSmith was a Great purchase. My son and I "went in together" for the PC version and an extra cable so we can play at the same time. We each have our own profile and we switch between guitar and base. We play together along with the band and if you miss a note or cord you can hear it. We have purchased many additional songs from Steam DLC. There are skill games and lessons on techniques to help you learn how to play. We bought it around Christmas and I bought another copy for my computer a few weeks ago because it was so much fun. It is a real challenge. Starts you off easy and automatically increases notes and cords as you get better. If you stumble too much it cuts back to get you going smoothly. New songs are added to Steam each week that can be purchased and downloaded for $2.99 each or in sets for a slight discount. During the holiday special a lot of the songs were 1/2 price. Since this is a fairly new software the familiar song list is not as large as RockBand or Guitar Hero but they are coming. Remember that you are playing real instruments and building rhythm and skills not just pushing buttons. Each song has its own distortion and amp mix that is simulated so your guitar or base sounds like the actual song. It is not an easy road though. You must hit the note. make the bends and stay on beat, you are actually playing the song and it takes practice. Once you get started hours will go by and you will want to get back to the challenge as soon as you get home.
Cons: Sometimes it will freeze up or not recognize when you check your tuning but not a big deal or very often. I want more songs, not just hits or new bands.
Overall Review: My son would look at my guitars but never tried to play until we got RockSmith. He has only been playing about a month and a half and is already much better than me. We went the other day and bought him a Les Paul for his birthday, he likes playing so much. I was listening to him play a Santana song and could not believe how well he could play and how close he was to the real song. Whether you are a beginner or an experienced player this is an excellent innovation. (I refuse to call it a game but what do you call something that teaches you and you have fun doing it?) Buy it and join the band! You will have a great time.
SAVE YOUR MONEY

Pros: NONE
Cons: Tiny, light weight, plastic, no power supply included. DID NOT WORK. The red light comes on when the cables are plugged in but the TV displays only DETECTING but no picture ever shows on screen. Plugged into a laptop with HDMI to TV, plugged into a Blueray player and neither worked. Will send back for credit. Don't want another one. Cheep feeling.
Overall Review: Save your money and get something else. Or buy my returned item. But as always Newegg is great, this product just *****.
Works fine for me.

Pros: I've been using this motherboard for quite a while. Added a video card for gaming and 3 MB of RAM running XP Pro. I dual boot with Ubuntu and have had excellent result. The drivers loaded with out any problems, make sure you restart every time it asks while loading. Use G.Skill Ram. Plays most any game, surfs fine, downloads anything and has run without a hitch. For the price what more could I ask.
Cons: Doesn't have a bunch of timing settings but enough for me. I'm not trying to push and squeeze every millisecond out of it. I just want a good stable functioning system to work and play on.
Working Fine

Pros: Bought this board with a package deal that was too good to turn down. Have built several other computers with ECS boards and they have been running great. For an all around computing, gaming and internet system this has been a good value for me. Although the on board video works very well, I had a spare 7600 PCI-e card I dropped in to play Call of Duty 4.
Cons: I wish it had 1000 LAN and 4 memory slots. The audio can be a pain just another review stated. I tried to migrate from my old hard drive with XP-SP3 and the audio would not work. Emailed ECS and they did respond by the next day. Worked on the problem for a long time and tried everything, but finally reformatted the drive and installed a fresh copy of XP. Was afraid to go to XP-SP3 but finally did with no problems. Everything is working fine.
Overall Review: I haven't had any real problems with ECS cards except for installing the audio drives on a couple but with some effort I manage to get the right combination to get everything to work. Most of the memory is Value ram, G-Skill or Wintech without any problems. I would buy this board again.
Works Great!

Pros: I have been looking for an easy and affordable way to transfer 15 years of home videos to DVD for a long time. Considered a video capture card for my computer but never could get a straight answer on a good one unless I paid a ton of money and deal with all of the hardware and software upgrades. Then the other day I spotted the Lite-On and decided to give it a try. Glad I did. Pop in a new disc, wait a minute to format, select quality, record to DVD and finalize so the disc can be played on any DVD player. How much easier can it be?
Cons: It will not copy my old VHS movies to DVD because of the copy right protection. Would have been nice to make copies because one by one my VCRs are dying.
Overall Review: It took a few minutes to figure out but so far this has been a great purchase. You can record just like a VCR. The image quality is excellent and you can record in multiple qualities to capture high quality (1 hr per disc) to lower quality (6 hr). Choices are flexible. Has record timer, tuner, VCR plus programming and more. I'm thinking of buying a few more.
Good product

Pros: I've built several systems using this RAM and it works without any problems. Some systems are used for heavy gaming while others are for general use and surfing the web. I will keep buying this product and recommend you do the same.
Cons: none
