Replicator for Dell Latitude

Dell Pro 3X E-Port Port Replicator without adapter
Dell Pro 3X E-Port Port Replicator without adapter

Pros: The docking station works as advertised. All components connected easily.

Cons: The only issue is that the new Latitude has the female attachment port at the back of the laptop and the replicator has the male port near the front. This leaves about four inches between the back of the laptop and the accessory connector station and makes seating of the laptop a bit of a hit-or-miss proposition.

Overall Review: Despite the issue with the fit, this is an excellent value compared to the $200 replicator sold at the Dell website.

Dead in 20 Months

Intel 330 Series Maple Crest 2.5" 180GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) SSDSC2CT180A3K5
Intel 330 Series Maple Crest 2.5" 180GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) SSDSC2CT180A3K5

Pros: I love the speed of the SSD and the very quick boot-up and accesses data.

Cons: The drive totally died after fairly light use over a 20 month period. I ordered it on December 31, 2012, and installed it using the Intel software that was included. This month, I could not access the data on the drive at all. When checked out by a computer technician, he could not even get his computer to recognize the drive. Neither he nor I could access any of the data.

Overall Review: Luckily, I had backed my most critical data, but to have the SSD fail in less than two years really makes me skeptical about this technology.
