Pros: Reliable. using about 10 of these drives in servers. Bought about 50 of WD drives high end including Black.. I monitor these drives constantly using HD Sentinel. We monitor disk temperature, read retry attempts and many parameters using HD Sentinel. All mechanical disks eventually will fail. That is the law of motion. Monitor for health and replace before they stop working. I am hoping they will last 48 months before they fail. I have many drives more than 2 years working fine. They are working 24 / 7 but peak usage is between 8Am to 6 PM.

Cons: High price.

Cons: Supermicro sells this board with old BIOS. V4 Xeon will not boot unless BIOS upgraded to > 2.0 No way to upgrade BIOS unless you RMA the board to Supermicro. Be prepared to waste 2 weeks time. Do not even open the box when you buy this board and want use V4 CPU Just send it back to Supermicro , for them to upgrade the BIOS

Pros: Bought about 100 of them voer last 10 years. Probabaly the best. Zero issues or problems.

Cons: We are just using for NATTing only. I do not trust this to protect me from hackers. WAN speed is only 100 mbps. I need more than that because my data center gives me close to 500 mbps. All other services like anti virus, anti spyware , IPS etc.. are expensive and not that great

Pros: VERY EASY TO INSTALL EASY TO PLACE IN 2U SERVER ON THE RAILS I used to sue sliding rails but putting a 2 U server in sliding rails is difficult. You have to align the rails perfectly. If the server is in the top half of the cabinet, it needs 2 people to put a 2 U server inside the rails. With this new one I bought, 1 person can place a 2U server even if the location of server is is at 6 feet height. inside the server rack cabinet.

Cons: High price.
