Pros: Sleek design. Easy to set up. Adequate range. Supports WPA2... if you have a RADIUS server or other means of authentication, that is.
Cons: None so far; it's exactly what to expect in this price range.
Overall Review: I bought this to replace my WRT54G. Actually, I now use the WRT54G as a secondary mixed-mode router that "guests" have access to. I use the WRT100 as *my* access point and the Xbox 360's access point, running in G mode only [and with no SSID broadcasting]. The 360 shows improvement, and immediately finds the wireless connection upon powering on [before hand, sometimes I would have to unplug the USB wireless adapter and replug to make it recognize the network.] The proper setup of a 2 router home network took a couple of tries, but overall was very successful. That old WRT54G now runs a slower connection, since it only gets 1/4 of the WRT100's attention :) Also, I had no problem with the set up cd... but I just use it to get the router's IP address. From that point, I use the browser config to set everything up. Oh.... and it matches my computer scheme of black w/ blue lights perfectly!
Didn't work for me...
Pros: It's pretty. And it seems durable to me.
Cons: Didn't recognize my drive [acomdata PureDrive PDHD500USE-72 500GB 7200 RPM]. I thought perhaps because I guessed at the wrong eSATA standard, the failure was only caused from the connection being too short. So I got out my whittlin' knife and made it so that it would slide in the 3 mm longer that I thought it needed. Still didn't work, but my whittlin' skills improved.
Overall Review: Maybe it was the wrong size, maybe the cable was bunk to begin with. I can't tell, but it's definitely not something I can send back now!
Works like a beaut.
Pros: No problems whatsoever. Cost is great.
Cons: None so far.
Overall Review: I placed these in a Gigabyte MB [GA-945GM-S2] and it's purred like a kitty since.
i like blue lights.
Pros: This case is quality for cost. It's sturdy, roomy and looks very sleek. The fans run quietly enough, and there's a fan control in the front [makes it a little more quiet].
Cons: The manual isn't really that helpful [pretty comical actually]. Neither is the website. With good motherboard documentation, however, it should be easy to hook everything up. The wires from the front panel are labeled correctly.
Overall Review: If you have an IDE HDD and DVD/CD ROM device, make sure your cable is long enough cause it's kind of a stretch. The case actually looks like it could fit more MB forms than just the ATX/Micro ATX. Really, I can see myself keeping this case for another build!
Pretty rockin', I do say.
Pros: Price. Sure beats the heck out of my old Celeron D.
Cons: The Core 2 Duos are better, of course. They are also over 2x the cost.
Overall Review: I put this in a Gigabyte MB [GA-945GM-S2]. It performs like a charm. Also, no problem with overheating... even with factory heat sink assembly.
