OCZ ARC 100 2.5
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: 1 month to 1 year

Pros: Cheep and fast.

Cons: The first one kind of worked, was giving me lots of glitches then died. Got a RMA chose to get another one. Bad idea, this one worked long enough to put OS and some programs on it. Put it away for months and then turned on laptop to do updates and SSD was dead again. It never got used except to get OS up and running. Now I't stuck with it, will try to get an RMA from OCZ.

Other Thoughts: Hard drives/SSD have a simple requirement, they are supposed to just work for years. And by in large they do. OCZ has disappointed me like this in the past. It was there first entry into SSD market. I was hopping since Toshiba took over OCZ the story would be different. Maybe some day but not yet.

SUPER TALENT PICO-C 16GB Flash Drive (USB2.0 Portable) Model STU16GPCS
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: 1 day to 1 week

Pros: Small, fast and tuff.

Cons: This unit starts out well, used it for ready boost on a old laptop. It set up fast and improved system functions. But soon just stopped working and it was so hot it was difficult to pull out. It is not ready for prime time and is going back. Requesting an RMA, almost to much trouble for the low price of this unit.

ASUS VS Series VS228H-P Black 21.5
  • Verified Owner
  • neweggOwned For: 1 day to 1 week

Pros: Low price, very bright,

Cons: All the view modes were rather strange as compared to an other Asus monitor. Colors, contrast, brightness levels were off as compared to older monitor. Screen center was way off. I used monitors screen center and had to use AMD Catalyst to move the screen to left and it was not quit there yet. After much fiddling using both monitor setting and Catalyst settings it is close to being acceptable.

Other Thoughts: It was a refurbished unit and had it delivered for free at a great price under $100. I love a dual monitor setup. I always multitask and find it very hard to only use one screen.
