Pros: I upgraded from my 10 year old WinTV Live, which is completely unsupported by anything newer than Windows XP. This unit installed very easily on Windows 7 64 and Windows XP 64. In conjunction with Windows Media Center, it provides an easy to use, quality picture. HD picture on ClearQAM is better looking than popping in a DVD movie!
Cons: WinTV application is slow and more challenging to use than Windows Media Center. The remote control is an absolute joke; is is very small and flimsy. And, the remote must be pointed directly at the usb unit for it to work. A usb extension cord is provided, but it is a piddly 10 inches long. I would have given this product a 5 star rating in a heartbeat, but the attempt to include remote control destroyed those chances.
You get what you pay for
Pros: low price
Cons: average quality
Overall Review: First off, the memory speed on my card is 400mhz, stock. I notified Newegg of this, but it looks like they have not modified the description. No one else has complained of this, so I wonder if it was an error with only my card. Despite that, I have it clocked much higher than either of the stock specs. I'm not sure why there have been complaints about the fan. I am running it in an older and hotter running computer, but it still stays a crisp 34C, on average, even though it is overclocked. I have not had any problems with any games, but Battlefield 2 runs obnoxiously poorly, not sure why. Also, FEAR runs poorly, but I have yet to see a computer than runs it very well. Overall, I have rated the card as "average" for two reasons. Despite a long time of outstanding service from NewEgg, this is the first time I have found a problem (actual card different from description) with their product, and because the card will run most new games/programs, but certainly not on "high."
Great economy combo!
Pros: Very inexpensive combo! Tons of new technology and many extra features. Owned for about 1.5 months and not a single problem.
Cons: Nothing that I can think of.
Overall Review: Came with user-friendly software for both mobo & graphics card, but I have not tried overclocking.
