Works great

Cisco Small Business SD2008T-NA Unmanaged Gigabit Ethernet Unmanaged Switch SG 100D-08
Cisco Small Business SD2008T-NA Unmanaged Gigabit Ethernet Unmanaged Switch SG 100D-08

Pros: Worked for me out of the box. I like to stay as close to single vendor as possible, so it's routed through a Cisco RVS4000.

Cons: None

Overall Review: I went from an all Linksys network and this box has far fewer lights. I mean, why have a home network if you don't have tons of blinking lights? Am I right?

Works for me

CORSAIR Vengeance RGB DRAM 32GB (4 x 8GB) DDR4 2666 (PC4-21300) C16 - Intel 100/200 Series Desktop Memory
CORSAIR Vengeance RGB DRAM 32GB (4 x 8GB) DDR4 2666 (PC4-21300) C16 - Intel 100/200 Series Desktop Memory

Pros: I use my computer for office applications and some of the drawing applications (Adobe, Corel). I'm not a gamer, but I build machines that delay obsolescence by using performance components. But, my builds would probably be considered boring by some. I don't overclock. So, what I'm looking for in any component, including memory, is reliability and so far so good. The LEDs are fun, but if they all went dark this afternoon, I'd be a little disappointed, but no big deal.

Cons: None at this point.

Overall Review: I would recommend it to a friend and will probably by another set to max out the memory on my system and to max the LED bling,

Does what it says - well

SONY - DASH - Personal Internet Viewer
SONY - DASH - Personal Internet Viewer

Pros: I like the programability through several channels. I have two at home and a third at work that display different content.

Cons: Sony probably chose a name that is confusing because it apparently has lead some people to expect something different from what it is. It's nice that it handles it, but I'd never watch Netflix on it.

Overall Review: Most of the criticism I've seen on the Dash is because it's not something it doesn't claim to be. It is not a tablet PC; it's not a gamer PC. It is a terrific, flexible source of "first thing in the morning information and updates through the day. It does what it claims to do very well. Since it's software driven, thngs can get better. I'd like to see the content programable by time of day. For instance, I watch the stock market, but it doesn't do any good to have the ticker running at 8:00 at night. Maybe being able to have some control on the size of the news headlines to give more information? I also wish it came with a better user guide. On the whole though, I think it's great.

Great back-up solution

iomega eGo Portable 1TB USB 3.0 External Hard Drive 35325 Ruby Red
iomega eGo Portable 1TB USB 3.0 External Hard Drive 35325 Ruby Red

Pros: Capacity, reliability ... and it's red!

Cons: PS3 doesn't recognize - but Sony's pretty picky and Iomega isn't unique in this regard. I have to agree with another reviewer - that silicone shock thing is a dust magnet.

Overall Review: As I said in another review on a similar Iomega product, a product intended to be mobile should probably have some sort of cover/case. Price aside, having to order the case separately is tacky. I rotate between three of these (similar - all Iomega) drives for backup and it just makes for a very elegant solution.

Great backup / transport device

iomega eGo 1TB USB 2.0 2.5" Compact Edition Portable Hard Drive 34882 Ruby Red
iomega eGo 1TB USB 2.0 2.5" Compact Edition Portable Hard Drive 34882 Ruby Red

Pros: Incredible capacity for a drive roughly the size of a deck of cards. No special drivers. It's red!

Cons: Not big enough deal to affect the rating, but something meant to travel ought to come with some sort of case. PS3 doesn't recognize it, so I have to transfer video from it to an acceptable format.

Overall Review: I use it to backup my PCs and transport stuff from work to home. It's great for that. As noted above,I had to buy a case separately. It would count as a con if it was unique, but since it seems like every drive uses it's own proprietary USB connector, it just warrants a remark. I own three eGo drives, each has a differnet cable / connector.

Great

Kensington Orbit K72337 Black Wired Optical Trackball
Kensington Orbit K72337 Black Wired Optical Trackball

Pros: Smooth, pretty much basic trackball. I use it for business applications and it does everything I want and does it well.

Cons: None.

Overall Review: I got this to replace my Expert mouse that was probably 16 years old. I expected the ball to be about the size of other Kensington desktop trackballs but it isn't. It's probably about 1-18" compared to 2"+ for Expert mouse. Probably more of a mindset to get around.
