Tenergy Power Case / Extended Battery for Samsung Galaxy S III (S3)
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 week to 1 month

3 out of 5 eggs 30% failure rate 08/31/2015

This review is from: Tenergy Power Case / Extended Battery for Samsung Galaxy S III (S3)

Pros: This is a very easy and economical way to add battery capacity to an S3 and still maintain some physical protection of the device. It claims to double capacity, and I find it does that.

Cons: I ordered three. One was DOA.

Other Thoughts: It is an add-on battery that moves charge to the original on-board phone battery. Thus, you will have some conversion loss when the battery case is "turned on" and moving power to the phone.

2 Pack Black USB Data Sync Charge Cable Cord for Samsung Galaxy Nexus / Note S 2 SII / S 3 SIII i9300
  • Verified Owner
  • Owned For: 1 week to 1 month

Pros: They're black and have connectors on each end.

Cons: The cables won't allow the devices to charge. I ordered four (two pack s of two) and none of them will charge any of the devices I have. I've even tried different chargers. None work. I may have gotten a bad batch, but it's probably not even worth the shipping cost to attempt a return.

APEX TX-381 Black Steel MicroATX Mid Tower Computer Case ATX12V 300W Power Supply

5 out of 5 eggs Good case for the price 05/27/2015

This review is from: APEX TX-381 Black Steel MicroATX Mid Tower Computer Case ATX12V 300W Power Supply

Pros: I was a little skeptical of this case based on some prior negative reviews. After doing the build, I'm very happy with the case and the results. The handle is fine for normal use. Some people commented that it would break off easily. Maybe if you spin the case around or do crazy stuff like fill it with stones, but for normal computer transport, the handle should be fine.

All the cable headers were well labeled and the case fan (one on the PS and one in the rear of the case) are reasonably quiet for what you would expect to be included with an inexpensive case.

Cons: The only possible beef is the location of the holes for MB standoffs, and I'm sure this is MB specific. I would had liked one more standoff hole in the corner for the board. It made inserting the RAM into the board a little difficult (without bending the board to an uncomfortable degree). But that's a very small complaint.

Other Thoughts: Overall, the case works well. It made for a nice finishing touch on an entry-level gaming system.
