Turtle Beach Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Ear Force Foxtrot Headset For PS4/PS3/Xbox360/PC/MAC
  • neweggOwned For: 1 day to 1 week

Pros: Sound Quality is AWESOME! Very crystal clear.

I ordered it on a Friday night, it came Monday afternoon (I ordered express shipping)

Nice long cord.

Looks awesome!

Came in Original box and wrapping as if it was Brand new, only thing that gave it away that it was refurbished was a sticker on it saying "Re-Certified"

Cons: I did not see that it said Refurbished as of the small print at the top, so I guess I over looked that, so my bad on my department. So no point in losing an egg over that)
Soon as I received it, I tried to use the headset. First of all, my desktop, my laptop, and a friends computer would NOT detect the headset. The headset has 2 cords. One is a USB, the other is for the speaker jack. The USB is suppose to "power up" the headset, and so you can use the mic on it. And the speaker jack cord is separate. Why wouldn't they make it so the speaker part is built into the USB as well?!
So, when I plug in the USB, it will "power up" but no computer would "detect" it. So it could not install the drivers for it, and I also could NOT use the mic on it. Since the headset has a speaker jack, and was able to "power up" I was able to use the headset as just "speakers", and had to use the mic built into my monitor for a few days. Took a few run arounds with people, but eventually got a RMA after about a day.
I had to ship back everything that came with it in the Original box, and thankfully I kept the cardboard box that it shipped in to make it easier to ship back. I shipped it on the 16th, and it just arrived in Ontario on the 23rd. I still have not received confirmation that they have even shipped out a replacement yet, and I am here still waiting UNFORTUNATELY.
That being said, as the headset is "refurbished", I am NOT allowed a refund, and only 30 days warranty from time of purchase.... I only had the headset for 2 days!!! And time is running out.... And although I ordered “EXPRESS shipping” originally, they will be sending the replacement via GROUND MAIL!!….
That being said, after having problems of spending 70 dollars on the headset (includes the shipping fee), I feel very disappointed after hearing great reviews of "Turtle Beach" from friends... I will post another review after I have received the replacement for quality and such.

Other Thoughts: All in all, READ EVERY WORD! and do NOT buy a refurbished product, buy it BRAND NEW, pay the extra 10 or 20 bucks for a new one, it will be well worth it, and less hassle, and a better warranty! Buyers beware, and best of luck!
