Easy installation

Thermaltake A4022 92mm CPU Cooler
Thermaltake A4022 92mm CPU Cooler

Pros: I like the pre-applied paste. Should make it easier for novice users not to over or under apply paste.

Cons: Can't think of any.

Decent case

LOGISYS Computer CS305BK Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Enhanced SOHO Computer Case 480W Power Supply
LOGISYS Computer CS305BK Black Steel ATX Mid Tower Enhanced SOHO Computer Case 480W Power Supply

Pros: Cheap. Has a reasonable number of connectors. Has a Front case fan to move air over the HD bay. Has mounts for additional case fans on the sidewall and the rear of the case. A near 500W PSU costs almost this much by itself. Front panel looks really clean. USB header for front panel is already on a block, not a bunch of single pin connectors.

Cons: Some of the standoff holes were a little overtapped(standoff continues to spin, never really locks. it does not fall out, but this means I had to hold the back of the standoff with pliers to get some of the screws holding the mobo to tighten down). Some of the power connectors were a little short for proper cable management(the four pin aux mobo power connector in particular. with the mobo I used, the cable has to go almost directly over the cpu fan. Anchoring the cable around the fan so it sometimes brush the fan was difficult without a little slack).

Overall Review: For the price, I have difficulty complaining. I am pleased with the case overall.

Solved my problem

C2G 35522 One 6-Pin PCI Express to Two 4-Pin Molex Power Adapter Cable (10 Inch)
C2G 35522 One 6-Pin PCI Express to Two 4-Pin Molex Power Adapter Cable (10 Inch)

Pros: It solved my problem and worked out of the box. Some sources indicate that this may need to be reseated several times. Not the case. A quality product.

Cons: None.

This card rocks...after some troubleshooting

VisionTek 900297 Radeon HD 5850 (Cypress Pro) 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card w/ATI Eyefinity
VisionTek 900297 Radeon HD 5850 (Cypress Pro) 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card w/ATI Eyefinity

Pros: So I have an ASUS board for overclockers...with this card, LEAVE OVERCLOCKING ALONE OR DON'T COMPLAIN ABOUT THE INFINITE BEEP. There's a review that swore this didn't work with his board...it works if you turn off PCIe clock monitoring and have enough power. In order to isolate the problem I jumped out a second dedicated power supply AND disabled the PCIe clock mandate in BIOS. If you still have problems...hit me up and we'll chat [email protected] this card.

Cons: I had to troubleshoot clockrate on the PCIe slot and give it a dedicated powersupply. I also had to give it BOTH 6 pin adapters...order it here at the same time if you're buying this card and don't have the connectors on your BEAST PSU or a second PSU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812196870

Overall Review: Worth the pain of troubleshooting...

Like this motherboard for a basic rig

ASUS M4A88T-M LE AM3 AMD 880G HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
ASUS M4A88T-M LE AM3 AMD 880G HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard

Pros: Lots of connections(has a com port header, LPT header, lots of USB headers, lots of SATA connectors). AM3 6 core ready. Decent on-board video.

Cons: The main power connector is right on top of the IDE header. Probably helps with cable management, but swapping the cable out later may prove to be a pain without pulling out the power connector. The sata connectors are REALLY tightly packed. I'm not using them all, so it's not that much of an issue for me. I could see it being an issue in the future. Maybe including some SATA pigtails would get this issue to go away.

Overall Review: For the price, you can't beat this board.
