Problems

Patriot Viper 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Desktop Memory Model PVS24G8500ELKNB
Patriot Viper 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 1066 (PC2 8500) Desktop Memory Model PVS24G8500ELKNB

Pros: Price.

Cons: Unstable over 1000MHz, flat out refused to work at the stated 1066 with the voltage at 2.1 and timings of 5-5-5-15. Bought two pair for a total of 8GB, one module was defective. They are hideous - if you attached a long wooden stick to them you could use them to rake your yard. Biostar TP45HP mainboard, Q9400 Core2 Quad

Overall Review: I am suspecting that Patriot had some QC problems with these. @Jaxx - don't assume that since you had no issues with yours that people who have problems don't know what they are doing. Some of the statements you make in your review are nonsense. Perhaps you should understand how DDR2 works before you state that you can only put one stick per channel in.

PC07 Adapter (iPad) is not included and not free from Energizer

Energizer XP4000 Portable Charger & Universal Adapter for iPhone / iPad / Smart Phone
Energizer XP4000 Portable Charger & Universal Adapter for iPhone / iPad / Smart Phone

Pros: Compact, lots of tips included, including a tip for iPhone which works fine for iPhones but not iPads.

Cons: Despite the product description and one of the product photos the iPad adapter is NOT included. This is the short white USB adapter. The iPad requires a higher charging rate to charge during use. The iPhone (MB02) adapter, provided, will charge the device but only in standby mode. I verified this myself. This is a known issue with iPad and is documented on Apple's support site regarding charge devices including computer USB ports that do not provide sufficient output. http://http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4060 Energizer sells (this is not part of the Free Tips program) the iPad adapter for $19.95 if you want/need it. I was told that they are unable to provide it free due to some licensing terms with Apple. Most likely the same terms that prevent third party suppliers from providing Magsafe compatible chargers for their laptops.

Overall Review: This power pack provides a max of 1000mA thru the 5V USB jack. This is the same output as the iPhone charging adapter from Apple but does not charge normally whereas the iPhone adapter will charge an iPad. The only explanation I can come up with is that there is either a) a current limiter either in the MB02 adapter or b) high resistance in the pigtail that plugs into the charger. The PC07 adapter for iPad plugs directly into the charger and you then need to use the iPad's sync cable to connect the iPad to the adapter. The same behavior was observed with the XP18000 Energizer which is much bigger but has the same output specs on the 5V circuit. Another reviewer stated that they got an iPad adapter, I seriously doubt it. He is probably mistaking the iPhone adapter for it because physically they are interchangeable but there are functional differences as I noted above with this charger.

Works OK

TRENDnet 2-Port USB KVM Switch And Cable Kit, 2048 x 1536 Resolution, Device Monitoring, Auto-Scan, Audible Feedback, USB 1.1, Compliant With Windows And Linux, Hot-Pluggable, White, TK-207K
TRENDnet 2-Port USB KVM Switch And Cable Kit, 2048 x 1536 Resolution, Device Monitoring, Auto-Scan, Audible Feedback, USB 1.1, Compliant With Windows And Linux, Hot-Pluggable, White, TK-207K

Pros: Works reasonably well considering the price. Easy setup, no external power supply required. Comes with cables.

Cons: An odd problem when using VMWare on one computer. I have a desktop machine connected full time to the switch, my laptop is used part time on the second port as a second display. I use VMWare on the laptop to VPN to the office (Linux host, XP guest), if the mouse moves out of the VM and back in (or vice versa) quickly the switch changes to the other computer. Its a nuisance but I can deal with it. USB whip on the cables is a bit short.

Overall Review: Documentation states that pressing the scroll lock key twice lets you switch between machines. For some reason, it seems that numlock is the correct key. Not sure if others have experienced that.

Not for EEE PC900

Mushkin Enhanced Essentials 2GB 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Laptop Memory Model 991559
Mushkin Enhanced Essentials 2GB 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300) Laptop Memory Model 991559

Pros: Memory either works in your system or it doesn't. This didn't, apparently it's not compatible with this specific system. I've used Mushkin memory in other systems with no problems.

Cons: I'm not blaming the memory, it just didn't work in my EEE PC900. Installed and recognized by the BIOS but the video corrupts severely when the OS boot up.
