Somewhat disappointed
Pros: Large capacity, works well as mirrored array using WinXP
Cons: eSATA connection is troublesome and results in very long delays when the drive spins up after going to sleep. Have to power the drive down then power it up in order for WinXP to recognize it after rebooting.
Overall Review: Like many other reviewers, I was also experiencing long delays after my drive went to sleep. This was becoming embarassing when working with other co-workers and clients therefore I switched to USB and found that I don't have the same delays. I didn't notice any difference in performance either. Save your money and headaches and stay away from eSATA.
Pros: None
Cons: Bought this to connect my new blue ray player to my older hidef tv that doesn't have the hdmi 1.3 port. It didn't work at all. I also tried using it to connect my cable box to the tv and that failed as well. It appears that I'm not the only person with this issue. Whats up with this cable?
Too loose and didn't work
Pros: Price and free shipping
Cons: I had purchased the 1.5 M version of this cable (also a Nippon) 1 week prior to ordering this one and found that it worked great but was a bit too short so I ordered this one to replace it. Upon receiving it, I found that one end of the cable was very loose after plugging it in but the other end was very snug when plugged into the same port. I was never able to connect to my external HD using this new cable because of the bad connector and had to revert to my shorter cable. My problem was not related to the length of the connector as other people of found because I still had a bit of slack between the molding and the esata port.
