Pros: For less than benjamin you get a low profile ceiling/wall mount managed access point. It also comes with a POE adapter! Signal strength is excellent. I had a Netgear N300 and this guy has twice the range with excellent propagation (ceiling mount, highest point in house). If you have drop ceilings there is a backing plate for tiles. Management software is nice with an option for importing and placing units on building diagrams.

Cons: POE is a nonstandard 24V unit. Didn't bother me as I don't have a POE switch. There is no power option on the AP itself, just the RJ45 input. Mounting screws are pretty fragile, do not try going directly into stud/ceiling joist.

Overall Review: If you have a POE switch, they offer a 48V <-> 24V POE adapter. My windows 7 boxes don't list this guy under network neighborhood. Before you can use it you have to load the management software, search and 'adopt' the AP.

Pros: Works with Vista home premium MC. Decided to spring for a Logitech Harmony 510 remote and that controls it fairly well out-of-box. LCD is bright, and I can read scrolling text from bed (~12 feet away).

Cons: Tough to get installed in bays. Had to finally take knobs off and pop faceplate to get good fit. Harmony pad doesn't work as well as OEM remote for mouse control. When I power down PC, sometimes LCD activates and shows PC Clock, other times a blank no-light state. Must be the way I'm holding the remote :/

Overall Review: Need to play with Harmony learning feature to get more device functionality. I like the front panel "Play Dvd" button and volume control. I've got MC autostarting and it makes for an almost DVD player ease-of-use for wife and children. Need to investigate inconsistent power-off display behavior.

Ordered on 18-Sep-2018 and after two weeks USPS still showed awaiting package. Used Newegg order history to contact and check status. Tech Experts e-mailed me within 4 hours and not only took care of getting me two drives that I needed for a class they gave me a refund for the delay and communicated each step of the process. Awesome customer service. I will shop with them again.
