Bunk USB cable
Pros: Connects fine at 5Ghz with Windows 8. I installed the latest driver (driver only, not utility) from Rosewill's website prior to plugging in the device. ~50 MB/s download and ~8MB/s upload tested at testmy (dot) net
Cons: The micro USB cable they included didn't work. I wish I had look more closely at it, as it had visible signs of trauma. I can't believe I wasted hours trying to get this thing to work when it was just the cable all along. Minus one egg for what seems an otherwise fine adapter.
Overall Review: Rushed on here to post so other could be aware. This cable clearly had major tension put on it, the sheathing has minor tears revealing copper and the gauge is all off mid-cable.
Unloading bad product
Pros: The inverter worked when it arrived.
Cons: It had some resistance going into my car's 12v plug, and eventually just broke off, stuck in the jack. The plastic housing the adapter fell apart, making the inverter unusable. The adapter was not the right dimensions for my car's 12v, I don't know why - do these things come in different dimensions? It's a modern car.
Overall Review: These have been going on sale regularly for a while now, I'm guessing they're trying to unload this product... I wonder why.
Thudding sound
Pros: Moves a lot of air, grabs a lot of pet hair and dust.
Cons: Noisy, even noisier when it started producing an unbearable thudding sound after a year.
Overall Review: Saves time from sweeping pet hair. Didn't have too bad of allergies so can't comment on how it filters the finer particles, but works well for normal dust and hair.
One month
Pros: Cherry Reds Aluminum bezel Multimedia keys
Cons: The white marking on the keys started fading after one month. The keyboard is fine otherwise, but this is a deal-breaker. The cost of shipping it back makes me regret not just getting a keyboard the next price point up.
Worth it
Pros: Keys are responsive, Good tactile feedback, Keys don't require much force, Rubberized WASD are nice, Aluminum bezel
Cons: Sloppy machining, Blemishes, Poorly aligned keys, Rubberized number keys don't have special characters printed on them
Overall Review: Typing on this is a dream, I have yet to game but I imagine it will be a similar experience. Black pieces of plastic were left all over, from machining the keys. There's also a bit of decal adhesive under the control key, don't know why. The keys aren't aligned very well, as in they are all a bit rotated one way or the other. It doesn't impair use of the keyboard at all, but for this money I would expect a bit more uniformity. The 'caps lock' on my keyboard is really tilted down, clearly the worst key as far as alignment goes. I would have liked to use the rubberized 1-6 keys, but since they don't have special characters on them (which I haven't made a priority to memorize) I won't be using them. No regrets with this keyboard. It has cherry red switches which are hard to find, and it's an affordable mechanical keyboard. Definitely glad I switched.
Carried me into 2012
Pros: Affordable dual-core in its day Runs cool and stable Long life and still going
Cons: None
Overall Review: I love you AMD X2 series, it's too bad socket 939 was so short-lived, but nowadays it's a new socket every 2 years it seems. I have three X2's of different models in three machines, one being the 3800+ which is still running six years later. Sadly my next chip has to be an Ivy bridge due to Intel dominating the clock speeds, I want so badly to support AMD.
