This review is from: Polk Audio RM6750 Black 5.1 CH Home Theater Speaker System
Pros: Accurate soundfield reproduction
Powerful subwoofer is great for movie soundtracks
Integrated hangers on satellites
Cons: Not as good for music reproduction as for movies
So-So instructions (if you need them)
Discontinued- so matching satellites for a 7.1 hookup are getting a little scarce.
Other Thoughts: Bought this system to replace an aging and low level Pro-Logic setup. For the $$ I am very impressed. The soundfield is expansive in my fairly small viewing room. Reproduction of movie soundtracks is incredible and, once dialed in with my AVR, the viewing experience is great. I had to experiment with subwoofer placement and level because at first the transition between it and the satellites wasn't as seamless as I would like. But now it's set. Very happy with the speakers and would highly recommend. They won't be great for extremely loud volumes or huge rooms, but for my average room, they work very well.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Aluratek 3G Wireless USB Cellular Router (CDW530AM)
Pros: I'm no expert- this is my first ever wireless router and I was able to get it working in about an hour. It supports my Verizon U-150 modem fine. As the other reviews say, the directions and printer material are miserably lacking and unhelpful. I could access the GUI from the CD included and that made it much better for the initial setup of the router. I was able to enable encryption pretty easily and my kids can now access our lone internet connection with their iPads and Nooks without trouble. I wish it had another LAN connection so that I could set up wireless printing, but there is only one LAN connection.
This router was CHEAP- $10 after rebate and shipped free and fast by New Egg. We'll see if the $20 rebate actually comes back, but I figured for the money, it was worth taking a chance. So far so good.
Cons: only a single LAN port, instructions are WORTHLESS. Luckily I had 1/2 a clue, but I am not the most tech savvy.
Other Thoughts: Like I said, for $10 it's hard to go wrong. And it seems to work just fine for my needs.READ FULL REVIEW
