No Complaints
Pros: Card runs cool with the dual fans. Low-profile and low power use; did not require the additional 6-pin power. Low-profile brackets were included. The heat sink and fans seem to be pretty solid in construction. Much better than the garbage cards I had always bought before this.
Cons: If needing to use the low-profile brackets, the VGA ribbon cable can be a bit tight and need some work to get set into place. Not hard but not as easy as it could be.
Overall Review: Included COD4 Modern Warfare, a nice bonus. I let TF2 idle in game over the night, and in the morning, the case was still cool to the touch. Reviews of cards in the similar range/market say this card is slightly overpriced and under performing in comparison. I consider myself to be a casual gamer only, and the performance meets my needs. I have no complaints, but nothing better to compare against. The drivers installed easy under Windows XP SP3 and also in OpenSUSE 11.4. The card will run off of a 300 watt PSU, but anything more demanding than playing a DVD would cause the video driver to crash. Once the card was given an appropriate PSU (specs say 350 watt min.) the card has performed wonderfully. As always shipping from Newegg is fast. Thank you, Newegg.
Still Happy
Pros: Lots of space. Very nice appearance/design. Acceptable cable management for a 'budget' case. Inside is powder coated, same as outside.
Cons: Too well ventilated. I will need to pick up more foam to make filters for the spaces which do not have fans.
Overall Review: This is the 2nd NZXT case I've bought. 1 black, now 1 white. I like them both and will continue to look at NZXT cases first when building a new setup.
Budget Case?
Pros: Rolled edges, no sharp areas to cut yourself. Lots of space to mount fans. Inside has been powder coated black to match the outside. The sidewall is solid, but still it looks sexy. Front face pops off easy enough and re-attaches, with little chance of clips or anything breaking. The card slots have easily removable covers, all ready to go. No aluminum that needs to be bent or snapped off
Cons: None.
Overall Review: The case seems to be so well ventilated that I may need to pick up some foam to make filters out of. This is the slickest "budget" case I have ever bought in 18 years. And very attractive too. NZXT has proven themselves to me with this case. I hope they continue this quality of work, as I will look to their cases first now. I purchased my case through --------. Sorry Newegg, but I had a credit to burn, however, I thought sharing my satisfaction of this case with other eggs, would be helpful.
Thank You Mushkin
Pros: I've just upgraded my PC to 8GB RAM (also Mushkin) and wanted to share that I have never had a problem with this RAM. Before this purchase I had not used any Mushkin products. I am happy that I had done so. - affordable - attractive - local business (Colorado)
Cons: I have no complaints
Overall Review: Thank you, Mushkin. I am very happy to buy tech from a company also in Colorado.
Sounds Good
Pros: - Sound is very clean and clear - Output to monitors A, B, and A&B - Display dimmer - Good ventilation - Simple stereo receiver/amplifier - Great price (bought on sale for $169)
Cons: - Bass, Treble, and Balance knobs feels a bit weak and could easily be damaged if bumped. They feel fine for normal use and turn smoothly. No egg rating penalty.
Overall Review: Im using this in a small home entertainment setup and am very pleased with the quality and features. Audio source is a pc with an M-Audio Audiophile 2496 -> Onkyo -> Behringer B2031P monitors. The FM tuner isn't of much interest so I can't comment on that.
