This review is from: Dynatron R13 70mm 2 Ball Bearing CPU Cooler
Pros: This device will move a lot of air and cool things down a lot. We have only run it for a few hours, but it seems very solid and reliable.
Cons: This cooler sounds like an aircraft engine starting up (53dB), very noisy. It pulls 1.6A at 12V and creates a lot of electrical noise (2.1V spikes at 12V).
Other Thoughts: We were planning on using this on a piece of test equipment, but the electrical noise was just to much for the extremely sensitive circuits to handle. This is a good solid product if you need it and can put up with the noise. The electrical noise did not affect the PC.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: BIOSTAR A960D+ AM3+ AMD 760G + SB710 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Pros: As an engineer I really appreciate how well laid out this board is. Beautiful Board. I put a 3.6G Quad Core FX1, 8G Ram and a ECS 512MB GT440 PCI-E graphics card and this thing handles Solidworks quite well. Win7 Experience is: Processor 7.2, RAM 7.3, Graphics 6.8, Game Graphics 6.8, Disk Transfer 5.9. This board came with 8G Free Ram which made it an excellent buy. It has a parallel Printer Port IDC, but no cable/connector to bring it outside the case.
Cons: The SATA interface is limited to 3Gb/s, but that is not really a problem, No printer port cable and connector. The dual onboard video was to slow for me, using it had a Win7 Experience Rating of 4.8. It did not have an audio input for the DVD.
Other Thoughts: I am really happy with this board, Biostar has always been my favorite. Newegg - what can I say other than amazing. I was going to buy a second one, but they dropped the free RAM. So I will wait.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: ASRock N68C-GS FX AM3+ NVIDIA GeForce 7025 / nForce 630a Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Pros: The board did not burn up. Newegg got it to me cheap and fast.
Cons: I got this board to use my 3.6GHz AM2 processor on, and my 4G memory. It did not like my memory, so I thought I would just keep the board and get new memory and a new CPU. Finally found some memory that was compatible and then started looking for a CPU that was on ASROCK's approved list. Well long story short: Newegg does not carry any CPU that is on ASROCK's approved source list.that is over 3 GHz. So if I want to use this board I have to gamble that a non approved CPU will work. I really hate that.
Other Thoughts: Before buying this board look at ASROCK's approved CPU and Memory list to make sure what you have or what you want to use will work. Also note this board will only supply power up to 95W for the CPU.READ FULL REVIEW
