great for price
Pros: so far it does what it is supposed to do once you have it formatted
Cons: I had trouble formatting the flash. The card reader that came with the flash was frightfully tight and so I used another card reader but my pc would only see 27 gb. It wasn't until I forced the flash card into the supplied card reader that I was able to utilize the full card. I also had trouble removing the card but as long as the card was undamaged I am not to worried about it.
Overall Review: I compared my card reader with the one that I received with this flash and besides the extreme tightness I couldn't see a difference that would have made it not read the full flash card. I have the card working with little frustration.
update bios for ivy please
Pros: nice looking board. It has a power and reset switch on the board with a simple debug for easy error code read.
Cons: I started out with error code 55 saying that I had no memory installed. checked the memory found that it was working fine. submitted a rma then found out afterwards that I needed an update on the bios. so I held off on returning the board. called asrock (warning... if you call at the end of the day you may not get any service) The told me that they would send me an updated bios chip. 5 days later I called again and they sent me a confirmation that they received my info and sent it the next day. Way to go there asrock. I put in the chip and no more error code 55. but i did get a code saying that no graphics card was installed. should have checked that before i fully installed the board. checked with 2 different cards that work and still not working. very frustrating. have sent this back and went with another brand.
Overall Review: a note should be placed stating that ivy bridge is not supported with out a bios update. I don't know if this falls on Newegg or asrock. I may still purchase from asrock but this will effect my choice.
Yellow goodness
Pros: 6' of flat yellow goodness. Nothing more irritating then a 3' or shorter usb cord. Does not work for the barns and noble nook but thats not the fault of the cord but barns and noble for being ignorant in the was of being considerate to the consumer
Cons: I didn't buy these sooner
Overall Review: The color is flashy so the misses can find her cord to charge her phone. That in its self saves me the agony of chasing down her cord to chard her phone. win!
quality
Pros: I purchased this at around 30$. I found others for cheaper but wanted something to last. I opened the packaged and was almost reluctant to use it, being so nice. I was very impressed and am having no problems with it. I am using it for my pc to tv.
Cons: none that I can see. for what I got even the price is more then fair
Overall Review: The description imply that it is for the xbox but this will work for any hdmi application. A nice feature is that it this cable is the latest hdmi 2.0!
wow
Pros: Clean crisp look with good ability for wire management. One of the biggest selling points for me was that I could rout my wires out of view. This adds for cooling and it makes a clean looking set up.
Cons: the plastic connectors for the fan cover break easy. they super glue back on easy. The fan controller...adapters or instructions? what do I do with this? If you add an accessory maybe some instructions. I have a big round knob that doesn't do anything on my case. I didn't get the case for this feature but it is there so it should be working. To be honest I would have preferred that it wasn't part of the case.
Overall Review: I honestly laughed out loud when I opened the box and got this Beast out. Its huge. I love it. Its heavy but I see that as a pro. It feels very stable. The side covers are easy to remove. the whole case to me feels and looks of high quality. the covers for the fans a little disappointing. side note. It comes with one lock for the access panel that opens to the MOBO but no lock to the other side. Novel idea but really falls short if you lock one side but not the other.
Good MotherBoard
Pros: This board is the classic you get what you pay for. I had no problems with the RAM. (Kingston hyperX 1600)
Cons: 6gb sata not capable for raid setup it has Bios and not the UEFI
Overall Review: The bios needed to be adjusted to run my ram at the 1600 speed. This did boost my CPU from 3.07 to 3.67. This really is a good looking board. Granted that looks are superficial but when you spend this kind of money you want to look under the hood at times and see a work of art. I had posted earlier but did not know how to add to my comment. It seemed a little harsh so I wanted to add this. I am happy with my Mobo and as I tweak it here and there I get a little more and more from it.
