does the trick
Pros: Long cable. More comfortable than expect for basic plastic. responsive. quiet mouse wheel. don't have any trouble pushing the center button on accident.
Cons: none
Overall Review: would prefer that it had forward/backward mouse buttons on the side...
Buggy UEFI
Pros: Slew of user friendly OC perks. USB 3.0. Cooling design. Pretty much what you need in a MOBO. It's ASUS. Component layout.
Cons: Goofy issues with memory and the autotune make it frustrating to use. Quick seating memory clips don't guarantee the memory is seated properly as with older mother boards I've used.
Overall Review: I've been an avid ASUS fan for years now, largely for their mother boards. They jumped the gun with UEFI Bios. Computer hangs when it goes to sleep. It resets itself several times before posting (I'm not the only one). Sometimes after posting it gives overclock failures when everything is set to auto settings. I have all recent stuff in here and I'm noticing everyone with these issues has i5-2500k and often Corsair Vengeance 1600 RAM. It eventually boots, doesn't crash when started, ASUS knows there's something wrong here and I'm sure will eventually fix it up, but as of this writing, 7/4/2011, it's buggy.
Re: Macbook Pro - Didn't work out
Pros: None, this is a reply.
Cons: None, this is a reply.
Overall Review: @Tim who said the Mushkin RAM caused his computer to overheat: this probably happened because you computer doesn't support 8GB. You may have OSX 10.6 or later, but the BIOS and/or MOBO of the Macbooks that use the PC2 RAM is limited to 4 or 6GB, where yours sounds like the model limited to 6GB (2 + 4). So in consideration to Mushkin, this case was probably one of user error, not hardware error.
loud
Pros: seems fairly sturdy, moves air well enough.
Cons: annoyingly loud
Overall Review: that's about it. loud enough that I'm going to put the broken one back in and rap on it when it starts clattering.
