Pros: quiet, normal speed

Cons: Seemed like a good drive, until the MBB failed, If the drive fails escp the master boot block, then the drive is no good, Zero good, and to pay extra.... I am not happy

Overall Review: I installed the drive Oct 2, 2010. Windows 7, and so on, Jan 31, 2011 it failed to boot. I too use acronis, and was able to get up with a Windows repair which put the boot block on my d: drive, but still had to use the image disk. According to my Acronis info I lost about 1/10th of a gig, or 100mb, including crash dump. Wish I could tell more, but I now need to get this drive out of my system, make a backup image and figure out what would be a reliable 1 gb HD. I can only say I will not trust Seagate's ST3100524ns drive line. I wonder if these are for raid systems where a failure is....
