Great RAM
Pros: Have bought nothing but Kingston over the past 7 years, they have never let me down! Great product as always
Cons: nothing
Overall Review: voltage on this set is rated at 2.3Volt, I have a 1024 kit I bought about 2 years ago also PC28500 and its only rated at 2.2Volt, no big deal, if anything it shows how they have improved
Larger than it looks
Pros: Good looking case, good construction (not great) well placed component mounts. Very solid power supply, good lengths on the PS cables
Cons: This case is much longer than it appears in the pictures, I bought it for a HTPC, if you have gobs of dept, no problem, if you don't look else ware. I'm a hugh fan of Antec all around, but have to admit this case is not in there all star lineup.
Overall Review: This is a very good case, but not great like the vast majority of other Antec products I use. Slightly overpriced, although it comes with a very nice PSU.
Sleeper Model
Pros: Price - much cheaper than other 260's Quality - Asus products are always top notch Performance - outstanding 3D Mark scores, 50k 3DMark 03 w/ 3.0 C2D on a nForce 780i board
Cons: Size, its large but thats to be expected, see Other Thoughts for my comments on the size
Overall Review: Size - had to take a hack saw to the back side of the hard drive cage in my Antec P150, be sure to measure and make sure this card will fit, you might not be as lucky as I was on making it fit Cooling - a lot of people down this card right away b/c of its heat sink or there lack of, this card runs cool to the touch even at extreme loads, I'm not a serious gamer, but want a performance card, this is perfect, if you are a gamer and play 2+ hours a night this may not be for you, but for a casual gamer, power user who just wants the power on demand this is a great buy
AMD Quality
Pros: Great value, I bought this when it was $78 now its $67, it was a great value before, even better now. If you stay current is the enthusist world you know AMD hasn't had a lot of thunder the last few years, but I assure you this is a lot of bang for a very good value
Cons: none, very solid, do not get intending to OC's to 5GHz w/ stock cooling
Overall Review: I bought this for a 780G rig I built up, and wanted something to hold me over till the X3 Phenom II's were released, and I have been pleasantly surprised with its performance, much more than I expected.
Solid, Stable, Feature Rich
Pros: Many features, great for a HTPC or with the right hardware could be a high end rig. 1066 memory works flawlessly (Kingston HyperX) which isn't the case with other intel platform boards I've used recently. OnBoard video ROCKS benches with my old K7 + a GF4 Ti4600, very impressive for on board graphics
Cons: chipset gets warm, would like to see a larger more traditional heatsink over the north bridge, but space is limited in the design, so I guess all in all they did the best they could
Overall Review: Fun board, I've had Ubuntu x64, Vista x64, XP x32 all installed with this rig, all ran extremely stable, driver support from AMD / ATI on the X64 platforms seems to be a little neglected, but I had no problem getting the stuff to work. Hybrid CrossFireX is a very interesting concept, I plan to invest in a $30 to test for myself, some things says only Vista has support others say XP and Vista so....
Great Drive
Pros: Great drive, much quieter than the 5 or so (100-200GB) IDE's its replacing, runs cool, very quick, 5 year warranty
Cons: None so far
Overall Review: true hard drive quality shows long term durability, will wait and see, hopefully it holds up as well as those 5 WD IDE's thats been getting the job done for 4-6 years!
