Great NAS

Pros: Large drive support, fast, quiet
Cons: custom firmware and apps need some technical knowledge to get going. If you rely on pre packaged apps to install wait a while longer.
Overall Review: Great little NAS. Contrary to the previous poster who says there is no apps available, there are plenty of apps out there if a person is competent enough to compile source code. I already have apps such as bit torrent, apache, openbuild service, DNLA service, mythtv service running on the unit.
Nice board but very poor support

Pros: Lots of expansion options
Cons: Typical Asus shipped a BIOS full of features but also riddled with bugs. IOMMU support is broken even in the latest BIOS. Asus support as usual has no clue and gives the typical "reflash the BIOS and try another CPU" hoping that it magically fixes it. After enabling IOMMU in the BIOS, saving and rebooting and then disabling IOMMU again in the BIOS causes the USB 2 ports to lock up and only a factory reset of the BIOS settings will allow them to be used again resulting in the loss of any other configuration you may have done. The exact same issue is also found on the M5A97 EVO. The BIOS also has errors in it's ACPI table.
Overall Review: I like Asus motherboards but their BIOS engineering is severly lacking and their support promises a reply within 48 hours, don't hold your breath. They usually take over a week to reply and it is usually with really bad advice. Unless you have a lot of patience I would recommend another brand of board with better technical support.
Disappointed

Pros: large capacity
Cons: two died within a week
Overall Review: Thought maybe that 7200.11 series was just a bad batch of drives a few years ago but it looks like that seagates reputation for reliability is long gone. Only gave them 1 egg because no eggs is not allowed.
Excellent card

Pros: Quiet, great performance, great linux support, least expensive GTX-580 out there.
Cons: I wish they would do away with the stickers.
Overall Review: Unlike the Jim who gave it 3 eggs I do actually own the card here. His statement of "Zotac also does offer a Lifetime Warranty on this video card and all other cards purchased on, or after Jan 2008 in the USA only; and only upon registration within 30 days of purchase." is false. The Lifetime warranty also applies in Canada. Right from Zotacs warranty information on their website. "The ZOTAC limited lifetime warranty is only eligible for products purchased in the USA or Canada."
Better off with a Hauppauge HD PVR

Pros: Hardware encoding, hdmi out
Cons: can't capture AC-3 5.1 stream, always transcoded to a stereo audio lower quality picture compared to the Hauppauge HD PVR buggy drivers, no linux support
Overall Review: I have this and the Hauppauge HD PVR. While this is a nice product it debuted with far less features and has poorer video quality then the Hauppauge HD PVR.
