This review is from: CHANNEL MASTER 7777 HDTV Antenna Preamplifier
Pros: The amp mounts neatly to the mast with the coax connectors facing down. Comes with two rubber boots for the input and output connections and a larger boot for the balum. Nice thick cable supplied with finger tightening nuts on the end, used from power transformer to supplied power isolator. Has a switch that you can turn on if you want to connected the antenna to a FM radio.
Cons: Does not come with a short length of coax for connecting to the antenna so you have to go to the store and buy one. The shortest one I could find was 36 inches but 24 inches would be about right. One of the screws holding the chassis to the plastic case was stripped out as I found out when I checked to see if the coax connectors had twisted inside. It didn't twist but felt like it did when I tightened the cable fitting.
Other Thoughts: You want to mount the amp as close to the balum as possible so why not include a piece of coax for that purpose so the customer can hook everything up right away without hunting for a piece of cable that will work. It would be a small cost for the manufacturer compared to the excessive cost of the unit at sixty dollars, in my opinion. The thing works great although it worked about the same when I hooked it up right next to the TV as it did mounted on the mast. My coax from TV to antenna is about 100 feet. With the amp I now get an extra three pbs channels and two fringe stations come in better.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Verbatim 25GB 6X BD-R 25 Packs Spindle Disc Model 97457
Pros: Record on them without any issues.
Cons: Cost could be lower but still comparable to double layer DVD cost wise.
Other Thoughts: I am using these to save family pics and other memorabilia. I have read online that Bluray is the longest lasting media available, 100 years possible. I use Image Burn with Windows 7 operating system and have had no problems burning them. No bad files or coasters.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: Vantec Stealth 80mm Double Ball Bearing Silent Case Fan - Model SF8025L
Pros: Solidly built fans, very quiet operation
Other Thoughts: I bought two of these for a server chassis and they were whisper quiet when I put them in and tested them. Then when I reinstalled the grill they became noisy. So the air coming through the grill is producing the noise. Nice fans and will buy more when the other server factory fans fail.READ FULL REVIEW
