This review is from: SiliconDust HDHomeRun Dual HDHR3-US HD Digital Network Attached TV Tuner Device
Pros: this model has been upgraded and needs only one coax input for 2 seperate tuners. the software they give with it is fairly user friendly if you want basic settings.
Cons: difficult to wall mount. unable to stack them... but probably should not due to heat.
Other Thoughts: this is good for an over the air tuner. I highly suggest you put some kind of surge/ground on the coax before putting it into the device as this could fry it easy (lightning). then again... it is lightning.
very happy and have bought many of these
This review is from: Patriot Supersonic Boost XT 32GB USB 3.0 Flash Drive Model PEF32GSBUSB
Pros: This usb is about 4 times faster than most of my usb sticks. This is based upon me using USB 2.1. Although it is a USB 3 Capable stick, I dont have any ports on my computer that can go at that speed.
I can not compare this to USB 3.0 as I have no experience with that yet.
The rubber that people mention coming off is a cap that is about 1/2" long, just to the left of the word Patriot on the main picture. It is the same cap as all of their similar models of USB sticks. They will come off if you are not careful when you put it in and out of your pocket, but is otherwise just fine by me.
USB stick also does not have that "breaking" feeling right where the connection meets the housing as many USB sticks have. I find this to be pretty rugged and the rubber coating "helps" with accidents like dropping and water but of course does not make it indestructible.
Cons: anyone who bought this during the Black Friday period and is trying to use rebate code PAT-13493 should try rebate code PAT-13516. I think they made a mistake when sending their .pdf to Newegg (US Only) and you will go crazy trying to find it.
Please use PAT-13516. Patriot was made aware on 12-2-13 but who knows how long it will take them to figure this out.
Other Thoughts: use rebate PAT-13516 instead of PAT-13493READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: WD TV Live Media Player WDBHG70000NBK-HESN
Pros: low price, mostly easy setup. nice remote. works better with other WD devices such as the "twonky" found on WD network drives (NAS).
Cons: This device will not send a picture to most televisions through HDMI until you get a firmware upgrade. Once done, it should work on the HDMI cable. The menus are okay, but they are so slow to load you press the button again, and then it buffers each key you pressed. This device shuts down quite often without warning and has trouble playing many file types it claims to support. When playing large files it often locks up and will not stop playing the file until you disconnect the power--turning it off does not stop it with the power off button on the remote.
I would not reccomend this player to anyone who wants a media streamer than can play files off your computer. As for playing netflix, it is fine, but there are LOTS of other worthy devices out there for this purpose.

I would say this item feels more like a beta test than a finished product.
