5 out of 5 eggs After a couple of months with 14 units 08/30/2015

This review is from: TOSHIBA PH3600U-1I72 6TB 7200 RPM 128MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Retail Kit

Pros: Top speeds for drive-to-drive transfers, as high as Hitachi UltraStores for network transfers. No DOAs, no noise, no extraordinary heat issues.

Cons: Some were very VERY slow to be recognized by Win Disk Management for GUI and formatting. It took minutes on 3 of them, while all others were recognized within seconds.

But performance and reliability have been as high as all others, so motherboard differences, SATA controller differences - who knows why the differences.

Other Thoughts: Hopefully, prices will continue to drop.

5 out of 5 eggs Latchless- YES!! 06/20/2015

This review is from: Coboc Model SC-SATA3-18-RC-GR 18" SATA III 6Gb/s Round Data Cable,UV Green

Pros: I prefer latchless SATA cables with the excellent snap-in feel, and these deliver on that regard and in every other way. Dozens used and zero failures.

Cons: Not free.

Other Thoughts: I wish there were additional colors and lengths available. Also, wish the POWER SEARCH could specific LATCH? YES / NO because latchless cables are fine. Who is throwing computers around rooms by their SATA cables when latched down? I always use the power-supply's 24-pin cable to sling the computer around.

5 out of 5 eggs Superior Dual SSD Tray 06/20/2015

This review is from: Sabrent BK-HDDH

Pros: The outer 'rail' has an open-cut for a screwdriver's head to affix the SSD screws into, both upper and lower. By having this cut-out design - instead of a simple hole or slot, large headed magnetic screwdrivers can easily use this product.

Cons: Not free.

Other Thoughts: My favorite dual-SSD tray to use.
