One pop rivet short of 6 eggs

Rosewill - LINE-M Micro ATX Mini Tower Computer Case - Dual USB 3.0 Ports, Dual Fans Included, Supports Up to Four (4) Fans and Up to 12.5" VGA Cards
Rosewill - LINE-M Micro ATX Mini Tower Computer Case - Dual USB 3.0 Ports, Dual Fans Included, Supports Up to Four (4) Fans and Up to 12.5" VGA Cards

Pros: 2 usb3 ports. Kinda sad this is a pro, every case made since mobos started having usb3 should have had 2 usb3 ports, but many only have 1. Simple classic design, doesn't try to pretend it's some alien artifact that will suddenly unfold into a Camaro. No sharp edges anywhere, including the pieces you tear off, or the edges of the holes that remain. Speaking of the pieces you tear off, there are 5 rear slots that are tear-offs. The case includes 2 replaceable covers in case you change your mind. In the front, the top slot is open. The second slot(5-1/4) and third slot(3-1/2) are also tear-offs. Rosewill took the trouble of a couple of extra manufacturing steps here to make it possible to reinstall these 2 front covers if you change your mind. Tool-less fasteners for the external drives. Simple to use, gets a good grip. That's what I'm using. Screws. Lots of screws! Enough to re-install the front and rear tear-offs, bypass all 3 tool-less mounts, if you want to, plus enough for the mobo and internal drives,, and a handful of screws left over. Good ventilation mesh opening in the front. Included fans are quiet.

Cons: Front panel wiring could be another 3 inches. Just barely long enough to reach and remove front panel, then had to jump through hoops to get to front fan screws. Should be enough slack to set the front panel beside the case. Not really a con, just one tiny detail that stops this case from being 6 eggs. Good cable management that is not obvious, and not shown online or in the (very sketchy, pictures only instruction sheet) See Other Thoughts in terms of wiring management.

Overall Review: I would absolutely recommend this case for any micro-atx build. If you're going for small, It's only slightly larger than the smallest cases, but much easier to work with. I've been going nuts for 2 years pursuing the smallest case with the biggest bang for the money. Dremel tools were used. I am surrounded by 4 empty cases, all with problems that I did not see online shopping. Either the front "mesh" was fake( no air intake ), or the tiny optical drive tray was a non-standard size(Rosewill! I'm lookin' at you!), or some other flaw. I wish I would have seen this case 2 years ago. I would have 3 of them! Other negative reviews: Some people have had problems with fit and finish, power supplies not fitting or lining up properly. I have had the same problem with other cases, but not this one. All sheetmetal was properly shaped, all holes lined up with no problems. Maybe different factories or production runs? Wiring management. Lots of negatives about no room between the back wall of the case and the back cover for cable management. True, but... The side covers don't have windows, so are we trying to make the cables invisible, or just keep them out of the way of the fans? There is enough space, near the top, between the rear wall and the 5-1/4 drive bay to route the 20+4 cable to the mobo, and any other SATA or IDE power connectors (Hint:If you don't use the bottom of the case hdd mount, you won't need the SATA/IDE power cable(s).) . No, it doesn't go behind the rear wall. The half inch of rear wall to rear cover space is replaced by a half inch of non-documented, non-obvious space between the rear wall and the 5-1/4 drive bay. I wish they had explained this better online or in the instruction sheet. You really have to force the connectors through this gap, but once you do, there is a cut-out in the rear wall below to route the cable cleanly to the mobo. The same cut-out gives enough space to tie up any PSU bundles you brought down and didn't need. On the topside, there is a small gap between the top of the case and the top of the 5-1/4 drive. This is just enough space to tuck away the wiring loops of any excess power cords, but not the connectors. It is also a great place to tuck away the power cable for the optical drives, and let the connectors descend from there. All the cables are held away from the middle of the case and the fans get no obstruction from the cables. So, Rosewill! Replace that one pop rivet between the internal drive bay and the back wall that makes it hard to push the connectors through! Make it a screw, or a thumbscrew, or just eliminate it! Then tell the world! Use some pictures of an installed system in addition to all the pics of an empty case! You would have had me 2 years ago!

Good drive, bad install info

Western Digital WD Green WD20EARS 2TB 5400 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive
Western Digital WD Green WD20EARS 2TB 5400 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive Bare Drive

Pros: 1: Finally got it working thanks to HDD Capacity Restore 2:2tb drive for just over the price of a 1tb drive 3:Very quiet, low power draw.

Cons: Install got stuck at 1tb. 1:Every smaller drive I've had, I could install internal or connect external USB, and change back and forth and the drive just worked. Might have to go to My Computer\Manage and enable the drive, but they all worked. 2:The only instructions you get are printed on the drive, and basically tell you that if you use the drive in XP, you must either install(or not) a jumper across pins 7 and 8, and also run(or not) the Western Digital "ALIGN" program. 3:During install, the drive got stuck at 1tb, I could not partition it as 2 1tb drives, or 1 2tb. 4:The Western Digital Alignment Tool download to solve the problem did not correct the size problem, but it did "ALIGN" a full 1tb of data out of existence on another 1tb WD drive in my system. 5:It's tough to separate the worth of this drive mechanically from the hassle of installing it, which is more a problem of the operating system and maybe BIOS of the motherboard.

Overall Review: Seen various solutions on forums. 1:Update motherboard SATA drivers. Mine is nVidia, their automated recommendation was 6xxx, my install was 9xxx. Didn't help me. 2:Update XP to Service Pack 3. Been there, done that, no help. Once it gets locked to 1tb, google hdd capacity restore, works like a magic bullet

Blah Sound

Computer Speakers, TaoTronics Wired Computer Sound Bar, Stereo USB Powered Mini Soundbar Speaker for PC Cellphone Tablets Desktop Laptop

Pros: Looks good, almost no RGB. Power light not stupid bright. Reasonable length connectors.

Cons: No power off switch. Main problem is, even for cheap speakers they sound terrible. Muddy sound, too much bass, even on tracks that have no bass. I've seen them list for around $30, I got them on sale for $10, and I'm not even going to use them on my test bench just to test if audio is enebled. Not worth the trouble to return them.

Overall Review: Anything else has to be better.

Works fine.

SatelliteSale Digital Toslink SPDIF Audio Optical Fiber Cable Universal Wire PVC Black Cord 50 feet

Pros: Arrived on time, well packaged. Very good price for a 50 foot cable.

Cons: None

Overall Review: Digital optical cable pretty much either works or not. This works. I bought 2 of these just to try them out. A single cable works fine. The connectors fit all the devices I tried them on OK, except the couplers I had on hand. I was just curious if I could connect them together to get a 100 foot cable. The 100 foot cable didn't work, but that could have been the poor fitting coupler, or 100 foot is just too long. The 50 foot cable, advertised and sold as a 50 foot cable, works just fine.

Should be 5 eggs! I messed up and can't change it! See Cons.

7 inch Coin Microscope, Elikliv 1080P LCD Digital Microscope with Wired Remote,1200X Magnification Handheld Microscope with Video Recorder for Coin Outdoor Observation PCB Repair
7 inch Coin Microscope, Elikliv 1080P LCD Digital Microscope with Wired Remote,1200X Magnification Handheld Microscope with Video Recorder for Coin Outdoor Observation PCB Repair

Pros: Easy to assemble. Runs with USB power. Removable lens guard. The height adjust rack can be turned so that the microscope can be on the back side of the stand (good idea to put some kind of weight on the stand, I used a dead hard drive). This gets you as much vertical clearance to the target item as you want. I hung it over the edge of a table and imaged the floor! However, the higher you go, the lower the magnification ratio. It will still focus at as much as 1 meter, but the magnification ratio drops to 1x1. This gives plenty of room to work on printed circuit boards and still get some magnification.

Cons: ME! I messed this up big-time. Once I clicked on the number of eggs, the Rating immediately submitted and I can't change it. Even if I didn't finish writing my review, the 2-egg rating would still be there. All I can do now is rewrite the review itself and hope people will read it, so here goes. While I was writing my 2-egg review, I went back to the microscope to take some specific measurements to cite in my review. That's when I saw what I was doing wrong with the microscope. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THE MICROSCOPE! I thought it would only focus at one distance, and that distance was too small to get a soldering iron in to work on a PCB. I was completely wrong! There is one adjuster for height, and another for focus. I can get a good, clear picture with the target at the base of the microscope stand and the body of the microscope moved as high as it can go. With the clear lens guard removed, that gets me about 85mm of working space with about 10x magnification. Move the body down as far as it can go and still focus and I get about 20mm of working clearance with 75x magnification.

Overall Review: Yes, definitely recommend.

The seller was great. The US Post Office, not so great.

The seller was great. The US Post Office, not so great. USPS said the package was delivered. It may have been, just not to ME! Seller responded to my e-mail in 1 day and sent a replacement without any fuss. Seller sent the replacement quickly without argument. I am very happy with the seller, and I would recommend them to other people. P.S. This form requires me to choose "delivered on time?" yes or no. It wasn't really delivered on time, but that wasn't the seller's fault, so I am going to say yes, anyway.
