Blue light special

Homebrite EW-1 Eye Watch Outdoor Wireless Solar Powered Security Motion Detector
Homebrite EW-1 Eye Watch Outdoor Wireless Solar Powered Security Motion Detector

Pros: It works. The option for audio or just the blue light is good. Price is very good and simple to setup.

Cons: My first one, button was broken but, friend fix it. After six months the charge lasts less until recharged next sunny day. It now activates three times and dies. It is a bit sensitive per any branch motion.

Overall Review: I really wish there was a battery operated option for indoor. I bought another one hoping someone can help me rig it with a battery for indoor. I have it mounted on an eave facing the gate from the inside. Next to a voice alert sensor alarm and Smart-Guardian 120W SmartGuard Motion-Activated Light with Camera and Audio Warning. Oh, yes and an armed big canine.

Most Critical Review

Failure after the year.

RiDATA Lightning Series 32GB Compact Flash (CF) Flash Card Model RDCF32G-233X-LIG
RiDATA Lightning Series 32GB Compact Flash (CF) Flash Card Model RDCF32G-233X-LIG

Pros: It was a good price back on May 2009. Capacity was outstanding.

Cons: Before the year, my card started showing rare and random image corruption. Eventually, after many reformats with windows and my Nikon D300 reformat feature. I risked taking photos while I had an assistant back me up. Regrettably, the card came out with a blank folder and no images. I bought a data recovery software (MediaRecover) and rescued most images except the three most critical shots. What were the odds? I tried to get an RMA from Ridata and the form is not functional. I get the impression that it was designed purposely to discourage dealing with the problems. I sent an email to give them a chance. I will update if they bother to reply and make good on warranty.

Overall Review: I have bought three Transcend 8gb cards in the past with no problems. I own two Lexar Pro 8gb, three Transcend 8gb, SanDisk 4gb, TwinMos 2gb, just bought a Transcend 32gb to replace RiData 32, and countless cards since 2000. This has been the only one to fail. This is the first time since I 2003 that I have bother to write a negative review. I wish I did not have to.

Silicon Power SP064GBUF3B20V1K Blaze B20 Flash Drive 64GB Entry Level USB 3.0-Black
Silicon Power SP064GBUF3B20V1K Blaze B20 Flash Drive 64GB Entry Level USB 3.0-Black

Pros: Cheap

Cons: Exactly what I was looking for. Too bad it came dead on arrival. Took over two weeks to make way from China.

Overall Review: Downloaded software, prompt me to restart computer and was not recognize soon after. Use two other computers. Windows 7 and 8 and it would not appear. Took to long to get here from China. First bad experience from foreign country purchase. Then I realized that it was more than 30 day policy.
