As described
Pros: Came well packed, with packing inside the comp. case to keep the HSF from ripping off the MB from hard knocks to the shipping box. Gigabyte video, Hitachi HD, LG DVD. Front door is easily removed, pull up on the lower pin and remove, door can now be removed from upper pin, just stick lower pin back into case if you want the door back on. I added 2 Rosewell black 120mm fans. CPU is D0 stepping. My A/C blows almost onto comp. case fan side, stock CPU idles 45c gets up to 60c under load. It also hits 150w. Im thinking, but not sure, that its bad to have one that does that, vs one that is only 130w. Stock GPU with fan on 100%, (EVGA precision), idles 35c, hits 60c under load. Temps would be higher in a warmer room.
Cons: Screw missing that holds the video card to the back plate of case. Lucky for me, the interior packing kept the large video card from working the PCI-e slot header loose, or breaking it, on the MB.
Overall Review: Overall, Im glad I bought this. Some mentioned adding a 80mm fan in back. My case is all 120mm, which I prefer, comp. runs with no crashes, is quiet with 4 fans. GPU fan is the loudest.
Customer service is a joke
Pros: pretty
Cons: Poor customer service
Overall Review: I had problems with AA in directx games, maybe software, but after trying fixes in Nvidia control panel, I contacted Galaxy with a detailed description of problem, and asking if card could cause that. It takes them 4-5 days, if at all, to respond to an email, or through their website trouble ticket. Included in the answer when I would finally hear back from them was "new drivers out, try them". My friends had 670 video cards with same current drivers as I, but had no problem with AA settings. I would never waste my money on a Galaxy card again, based on slow CS response. Too many bad cards, for CS to keep up with? You be the judge. Yes, it was, I discovered on my own, a Nvidia CP setting, and not a bad card, but slow CS response is the point, Hope you dont need CS support from them. BTW, when you email the galaxy dude that posts his email here, you just get a form email back giving you a link to their website. Big whoop.
Comments: I thought the chances of getting a 30 cap was good, but I got a SL6WU 12 cap. Not installed it yet, bought expensive ram to go with a 30 cap, and now unlikely that I will need anything but value ram with this cpu.
