5 out of 5 eggs Great for every day use! 10/27/2011

This review is from: EVERCOOL EGF-8 80mm Case Cooling Fan

Pros: Extremely quiet, especially in a sound-insulated case. Temperatures never rose above 98 degrees F while gaming.

Cons: I'm not a hardcore gamer by any means. I buy one now and then. I recently bought a very new game and, although it runs find on my PC, it requires a lot more juice from the video card and the airflow in the case just isn't enough to keep up. The machine overheats quickly. These fans, although efficient simply because they run at lower speeds, aren't enough to keep up.

Other Thoughts: If you tax today's high-end video cars - these fans aren't for you.

5 out of 5 eggs Great Value! 07/17/2010

This review is from: EVERCOOL EGF-12 120mm Case Cooling Fan

Pros: This fan is QUIET - which is exactly what I want. I'm not worried about using the adapter because this fan runs at 1400 RPM regardless. 3-pin, 4-pin, whatever. If you're that worried about it, you should be buying a more expensive fan. Perfect for systems that aren't overclocked or overtaxed.

Cons: None.
