All the features I wanted except front audio
Pros: Good mobo with all the bells and whistles… Plenty of bios options. Quad core support.
Cons: A few First there is a weird post screen that can’t seem to be turned off. Second the front audio port on the mobo is HD Audio so my front jack only plays in mono as per Foxconn’s instructions on how to use it anyway with an AC97 plug.
Overall Review: Be aware that the front audio port on the mother board is HD audio and you won’t be able to use your front inputs without a dongle which I cannot seem to find anywhere. Either way I like this board very much.
Malfunctioning after 3 days...
Pros: Unit cools really well when it works.
Cons: Control panel is malfunctioning after 3 days. The temperature jumps down to 61 degrees and any attempt to adjust it back with either the remote or the buttons on the unit cause the display to blink and beep erratically and it won't stop until you unplug the unit.
Overall Review: I have another unit by TCL i bought from newegg a few years ago that looks identical in build. That unit has been great so I purchased this one hoping that it was the same. Now I have to wait in the HOT Texas heat for a return on the unit. Not to mention I have to completely unmount this unit and then remount a replacement. I will say this, newegg got this to me faster than any item I have ever ordered. Ordered late one evening and it was here the next morning. 5 stars to newegg for that but I imagine the return and replacement process will not be as quick.
ROCK solid performance for Ryzen and the Asus Crosshair VI Hero!
Pros: Rock solid ram. Ran at specified speeds out of the gate. Performs well overclocked. Had it stable at 3000 but I bumped down my settings to 2666 as I tweak my setup a bit more. Easily works with no issues in the Asus Crosshair VI Hero. Memtested extensively with 0 errors.
Cons: Pricey. No heatsink / spreader. (the design you see in the photos is a sticker on the ram 64Gb kit wasn't available so I had to get 2x32GB kits.
Overall Review: I was not aware thee ram didn't have a heat spreader and was a little disappointed by the sticker. Running 64 gigs (2x 32GB sets) in an Asus Crosshair VI Hero with an AMD Ryzen 7 1700. My not look as cool without a heat spreader but it is solid ram. I would definitely by it again.
great little system for general use.
Pros: Small form factor. Decent process for the price. Worked well out of the box. Has UEFI boot option for larger than 2TB hard drives. HDMI Out which is why I chose this model. Quad core intel i3 processor.
Cons: No wifi but I knew that going in. No room for additional 3.5 inch hard drive (however the bracket that holds the hard drive has a small space on back that can hold a 2.5 inch drive laptop or solid state SSD. I used an old 500GB laptop drive. only 4GB of ram. Small 350GB hard drive installed. Case hard a lot more scratches and dings than I had hoped for but I knew it might being a refurb.
Overall Review: I set this up as a media center in my bedroom running Kodi. I removed the 350GB drive that came installed. I installed a small Laptop drive (500GB) for my OS and used a 4TB drive in place of the provided 350GB. Setting up a 4TB drive was a little trouble but not due to any fault of the system. It has a UEFI boot option in bios to assist with that problem. For the price the system is pretty good. It would easily suit every day surfers and non gamers. Works great as a media center with a few upgrades. You may even get by with some light gaming. The provided keyboard and mouse are nothing to write home about but get the job done so no complaints there.
Feature rich motherboard with a great layout an plenty of options.
Pros: "I am writing this review to enter into the "Join The Republic- Your Path to Legendary Continues" Pros: First off this board has a massive amount of tweaking options in bios. You could spend days tweaking. I have not really done anything so far inside of bios as I am waiting for some more ram to arrive before I start tweaking. Great layout. RGB. Plenty of USB Ports
Cons: No wifi in this model. They do offer it in the AC version but newegg had a promo on this board so I chose it instead.
Overall Review: Update: I can confirm that the rog_ext header on the board will work perfectly with the OC panel that was supplied with some older model motherboards sold by asus. board has been rock solid with overclocking and stable. I highly recommend this board! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Overall I think this is the best build for tweaking and overclocking as it has plenty of options. Very Nice card for the price
Pros: Great little card. the only game I really play anymore is Diablo 3. This card allowed me to set the game to all the max setting without a hiccup. Highly Recommend it for a great budget card. I also do a lot of video editing, and this card renders video a lot faster than my previous card.
Cons: for this price, The only con I have is the mini hdmi port. I hate having to use adapters. I would have rather had a full sized HDMI port, but this is no big deal. Don't let that stop you.
Overall Review: My last card was also a zotac card. It was a GeForce GT620 with 2 GB of VRAM. I could not get max settings on Diablo with the previous card but it was pretty close to max. I put that card (which is still running great btw) into my media pc when it's video card died. I figured I would stick with zotac since I was blown away by the performance of the other card. This card while having 1 GB less Memory out performs the older GT620 2 GB card probably due to the 128 bit memory. This is all around a great card, and if you going to be doing light gaming and or video editing, I do not think you will be disappointed. I have been a computer tech for over 20 years. I have never been an enthusiast when it comes to video cards. Technology changes too fast and I never buy more than I would need for my pc's. Sure you can spend a lot of money when it comes to the higher end video cards, but if a budget card can perform the way you want it to, why spend so much?
