Runs hot

AMD FX-8350 Black Edition Vishera 8-Core 4.0 GHz (4.2 GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 125W FD8350FRHKBOX Desktop Processor
AMD FX-8350 Black Edition Vishera 8-Core 4.0 GHz (4.2 GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 125W FD8350FRHKBOX Desktop Processor

Pros: Very fast processor no issues with it so far for the money

Cons: Runs hot even with large 4x4" cooler I'm not blaming AMD on this because I should have looked into this more. The deal is if you want you can use the factory small fan heat sink but it spins up very high speed gets really noisy. The only way to keep the heat down I have to under clock and leave the covers off with my big cool master. The way to fix this would be a water cooler but they cost $100 which is about what the fx-9590 cost including a cooler.

Overall Review: My suggestion is unless you already have a water cooler or a really large air cooled setup go with the 9590 AMD comes with the water cooler and is faster. This one is always warning me that it's going over 65C. If I push it like overclocking then it hits 75C. I plan on getting a water cooler wish I got the FX-9590 now.

Works well, but???

ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0 AM3+ AMD 970 + SB950 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard with UEFI BIOS
ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0 AM3+ AMD 970 + SB950 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard with UEFI BIOS

Pros: The motherboard once setup works well no issues. The speed seems to be faster then an identical machine I built using a gigabyte MB.

Cons: No case USB 3.0 support plug this I overlooked in the reviews, but I should not have to go looking though reviews to find this out. This is something I have to have I figured all USB 3.0 MB's have the plug but this one doesn't so you can only use the 3.0 in the rear of the PC now I have to get an extension cord or buy a USB 3.0 add on card. Next is the PCIE slot is too close to the x4 slot for my video card now I can't use that slot and it's the only one on the MB. 3rd problem is the ATX power plug is too far away from the power supply I had to buy an extension not a big deal but put the plugs near the other power plugs. The USB keyboard and mouse didn't work while installing windows I had to plug in a PS2 keyboard I was lucky to find one. I built an identical machine for my wife using the gigabyte ATX micro MB I was able to use the USB keyboard and mouse.

Overall Review: The software from ASUS was kind of clunky to use it I had trouble finding a windows 7 bios update didn't seem to work that well. They should put a USB plug for the front USB cables.
