This review is from: CONAIR PS200E Travel Smart 2000-Watt Auto Adjust Smart Converter & Adapter Set
Pros: Good for small appliances?
Cons: The online description does not match the operating instruction that comes with the Conair PS200E. THIS DEVICE IS NOT FOR LONG TERM USE!
I'm currently stationed in Afghanistan and we have 220V Power wired throughout our tents. I wanted to (now achieved, NO thanks to this product) have a small TV (also bought on Newegg: Auria 24" 5ms 1080p LCD HDTV EQ2488F/ GREAT PICTURE!!) strung up on the underside of the top bunk above me at the foot of the bed so I could play my XBOX360 (which is what I needed this product for as the TV supports 220V).
After reading the instructions that came with this converter however I discovered that it states that it is NOT intended for extended use (Beyond 30 minutes) and specifically states you should NOT plug in TV's, Computers, and by extention XBOX 360's.
The High wattage setting (>50W) is only recommended for short term (30 min) use. It's also not intended for use with Power strips or other devices which have Ground Fault Circuit Interrupters.
Other Thoughts: What is this device good for???? Had to buy a step down transformer from the local Afghan shops.READ FULL REVIEW
This review is from: ASUS P5E3 WS PRO LGA 775 Intel X38 ATX Intel Motherboard
Pros: Great board, great for overclocking. Wide array of BIOS options for OC'ing. I took a Q9450 from 2.66GHz to 3.2 and I'm at 45C under load air cooled, 39C Idle and I could probably go higher still. OC'd the FSB to 1600MHz along with my DDR3 1333 to 1600.
Cons: First one was DoA. It was a real pain too because I'm Military overseas (long shipping wait w/ APO shipping). Newegg of course was quick to RMA.
BIOS revision in both boards that arrived (although the 2nd was newer revision) did not recognize my Processor and required a BIOS Flash. I had to use a 65nm core2 duo to Flash it.
Other Thoughts: Q9450 Yorksfield 12M cache 2.66 @ 3.2 1333 OC 1600MHz.
