This review is from: Rosewill REGD-6361 3-in-1 Detector Stud/Metal/Voltage Detector with LCD Display
Pros: It is affordable and worked well the first few times I used it.
Cons: It's not built to last and stopped functioning shortly after the warranty expired. Also, it is not the easiest stud detector to use. Lastly, it requires a 9v battery instead of cheaper and more common AA or AAA batteries.
Other Thoughts: I initially bought it to install a TV wall mount. Considering the low price it worked surprising well for that project and for a couple others shortly thereafter. However, I didn't need to use it again until about a year later, and at that point it was no longer able to detect studs! It powered on and appeared to do something but the stud detection was completely non-functional. I even checked studs that it could previous detect with no success. I stored it without a battery installed and in a clean, dry cabinet (indoors), so there is no excuse for it to just die randomly.READ FULL REVIEW

Pros: With the latest drivers it works great with Windows 7 (64-bit). It includes both a regular and a low-profile bracket for compatibility with any standard case. Reliability is good considering I've had this over a year.
Cons: The Asus web site does not have the latest drivers. They provide very old drivers for Windows 7 and somewhat newer ones for Windows 8, but still not as new as what is available from MediaTek.
Other Thoughts: I've been using this for more than a year and with older drivers I saw some of the issues mentioned in other reviews. However, everything seems to be working fine with drivers released in the last few months. The Asus web site is not updated frequently so it is best to download the drivers directly from MediaTek.READ FULL REVIEW
